I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Purpose is bubbling up from inside you. You can hear the pulsating sounds in the spirit driving you forward — the songs that make your heart sing and put your hands to work alongside this new beat. There’s a fresh beat in the atmosphere, and there’s a fresh, joyful, unstressed pace to the work I’ve called you to do. Don’t fight the new. Slide into the new. Agree with the new, and align yourself within the new. It’s such a good fit. You will love this pace. You will love the cadence, the beat and the lightness with which activities are pursued and completed here.
‘“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”’
Matthew 11:28-30
This is a time of warfare, sure. But in this new sound, beat and pace, you are covered under the shadow of My wing. And such grace is here to operate, that you feel like a new human. You feel like something massive has changed. Because the work, the effort and the production never used to be this easy. That is the beauty and the hallmark of My grace. You can get more done with greater ease. You can be in the same battles yet feel none of the friction and onslaught that you felt before — because of My covering of grace. Get into the beat of this new sound. Allow yourself to be immersed in the new ways, the new vibrations, the new beats and sounds of praise. Worship your way forward in My grace. It’s here for you in abundance. Don’t kick at the goads and fight your way through like you have in the past. This is a new day with a new sound, and I, by My grace, have made what feels and sounds and seems like a totally fresh new way. It is for you. This is the rhythm of grace.

This is the beat of abiding rest in Me. The faith-rest life is not slow, it’s upbeat. But it allows your soul to not feel rushed, harried or harassed. This is a dichotomy of times. You are being urged forward by the new sound and the new pace with much greater intensity and speed. But the anxiety, tension and stress are gone. Enjoy the new pace I’ve introduced this fall. It’s the new pace set by and covered by, even driven by My grace.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord thank You for the new kind of grace You’ve introduced into my life this fall. Thank You for Your covering, and thank You for the new sound and beat that is driving my new pace. Thank You for bringing rest to my soul, even as I am getting more done with less effort. Help me to remain in the place of abiding and not striving. Help me to remain under the cover of Your wing through the ongoing battles that have not yet changed — but how they affect me and how I move forward has greatly changed for the better. You are so good to me.
- Declare, “Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.”
Psalms 91:1-4 NLT - Decree, The Lord has brought a new sound and a fresh new covering, beat and pace of grace. It is enabling me to get more done with much less effort. It is empowering me to stay in the war at hand with greater covering and with less stress and strain. He is hiding me as I abide in Him, and He has brought rest for my soul, even as His new sound causes me to advance with urgency at a much quicker pace. I receive His gift of grace, and I will remain in it and advance in power.
