Now the promise of entering into God’s rest is still for us today. So we must be extremely careful to ensure that we all embrace the fullness of that promise and not fail to experience it. For we have heard the good news of deliverance just as they did, yet they didn’t join their faith with the Word. Instead, what they heard didn’t affect them deeply, for they doubted. For those of us who believe, faith activates the promise and we experience the realm of confident rest! For he has said, “I was grieved with them and made a solemn oath, ‘They will not enter into my rest.’ ” God’s works have all been completed from the foundation of the world, for it says in the Scriptures, And on the seventh day God rested from all his works.
Hebrews 4:1-4 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Is not all My work finished? Then why do you stress? Why do you worry? It is completed. Rest in the completed work of the Cross, and rest in the work that I completed after the sixth day of Creation. It is all finished. You are simply participating in My finished work. You are truly and actually only warring from a place of victory if you are in the battles I have assigned to you. I only assign battles that have been won. Now if you’re out there picking fights or running wars that I have not assigned, there is no guarantee. But all that I have assigned has been purposed and determined before I set the stars in place, before time began.
God always makes his grace visible in Christ, who includes us as partners of his endless triumph. Through our yielded lives he spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere we go. We have become the unmistakable aroma of the victory of the Anointed One to God —a perfume of life to those being saved and the odor of death to those who are perishing. The unbelievers smell a deadly stench that leads to death, but believers smell the life-giving aroma that leads to abundant life. And who of us can rise to this challenge?
2 Corinthians 2:14-16 TPT
So if you are aligned with My heart, if you are participating and moving and working and warring in the places I have designated, assigned and instructed — then you have nothing to fear. Those works, battles and wars have success baked in. I do not assign you to do anything that leads to ultimate failure. I only set you up for victory. Might you stumble along the way? Sure. But if you are aligned with Me, if your heart is purposed and aimed at the target I have set, you need have no fear of failure. You need have no worry or anxious care. As long as you and your heart and eyes are aligned with Me, as long as you are following in the tracks of My chariot wheels, as long as your feet are on the path that I have laid out, you should have no anxious care. Victory is secured. The battle is already won. Now, no battle is won sitting on the sidelines. No battle is won distracted and fighting petty squabbles I never sanctioned.
But we thank God for giving us the victory as conquerors through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. So now, beloved ones, stand firm, stable, and enduring. Live your lives with an unshakable confidence. We know that we prosper and excel in every season by serving the Lord, because we are assured that our union with the Lord makes our labor productive with fruit that endures.
1 Corinthians 15:57-58 TPT
I called you and made you and purposed you to participate with Me, to advance My purposes in the earth. And this is My assurance to you — I will never leave you nor forsake you. and every battle, every victory that you fight in alignment with me is already won. Stay the course. Know in your heart where your feet and your efforts should be. And work from that place of perfect rest in me and perfect peace. War from the holy assurance that every battle has already been won. You are fighting, warring and working from victory to victory. The battles are already won. It’s your job to rise up, to meet them and to apprehend those wins.
How to Respond
- Give your anxious cares, worries and fears to the Lord. And make sure your eyes, heart and work is aligned with Him and His assignments for you.
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You that You are my guide. Thank You that I have no need to fear failure when I am partnered with You, working with You and keeping my eyes on You. Give me clear reminders of the targets You have set for me — the battles and the places You have called me to war and to work. And help me to clear out all of the junk that is causing noise, chaos, distraction, confusion and unrest in my life. I want to war and work from the place of perfect peace, perfect rest, clarity and holy assurance that these battles are all already won.

— 1 John 5:4-5 TPT - Decree, I am diligently and ruthlessly removing everything from my life that is causing distraction, noise, chaos, confusion and unrest. I will war and work in only those places assigned to me by the Lord my God. In those places, every battle is already won, and every success is already secured. I will abide in the perfect peace and perfect rest that the Lord has provided. And I will move forward in bold confidence and holy assurance that the Spirit of the Lord has gone before me.
