Song of Songs 2
Romans 8

The one I love calls to me: Arise, my dearest. Hurry, my darling. Come away with me! I have come as you have asked to draw you to my heart and lead you out. For now is the time, my beautiful one.
‭‭Song of Songs‬ ‭2‬:‭10‬ ‭TPT‬‬

I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
You’ve grown accustomed to being patient in the waiting. That’s good. That’s important. That’s necessary. But don’t allow that, don’t confuse that or use that an excuse for not accelerating when I say go. You may feel that your driving foot is out of practice. You may feel that it is only accustomed to staying in its little circular routine, close to home, close to the familiar. But now I’m telling you to drive. You have been in waiting mode, in growing mode, in cleansing mode, in unlearning and relearning mode for so long that acceleration has become unfamiliar territory.

The season has changed, the bondage of your barren winter has ended, and the season of hiding is over and gone. The rains have soaked the earth and left it bright with blossoming flowers. The season for singing and pruning the vines has arrived. I hear the cooing of doves in our land, filling the air with songs to awaken you and guide you forth.
‭‭Song of Songs‬ ‭2‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Where once your life was lived with your foot on the gas, I have pulled you aside for these years, for this period of time to do deep work, to strip away, to build up, to make new, to reform, reshape and and to set proper healthy guards and boundary lines around your heart. I have strengthened your muscles and your mind, and together we have changed your thought patterns, behaviors and even preferences. That took time. That was vital. That has been crucial. Some much needed healing has taken place, some stripping away has taken place.

If your life was a garden, we have completely done a work in it, reworked the soil, pulled out the weeds, fertilized it and brought in good nutrients, brought in seeds and plants that could thrive here, discarding and uprooting those for whom this is not a proper place. But now is the time to drive. Now is the time to accelerate into change, because great change is ahead. I want you to meet change on purpose. I don’t want it to just happen to you. I’m directing you to drive forward, to accelerate — to get out of this important and necessary mode of idling. Because the time has changed. My purpose has changed, and My direction and instruction have changed.

Can you not discern this new day of destiny breaking forth around you? The early signs of my purposes and plans are bursting forth. The budding vines of new life are now blooming everywhere. The fragrance of their flowers whispers, “There is change in the air.” Arise, my love, my beautiful companion, and run with me to the higher place. For now is the time to arise and come away with me.
‭‭Song of Songs‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬ ‭TPT‬‬

It’s time for full speed ahead. Your idling days of being weeded and plowed and totally revamped have drawn to a close. Now it’s time to drive. Go when I say go. And go where I direct you.

How to Respond

  • Ask the Lord to help you see how He is shifting the season and His purposes and instructions in Your life.
  • Pray, Holy Spirit thank You for being with me, for guiding and protecting me. Help me to be moved by the impulses of Your Spirit and not stuck in a previous season. Help me to position myself to drive and accelerate again. Help me to meet change head-on, on purpose instead of waiting for it to come to me. Thank You for being so faithful in this season of deep, personal work and rebuilding. I know You will be faithful in the season of driving too.
  • Declare, The mature children of God are those who are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit. And you did not receive the “spirit of religious duty,” leading you back into the fear of never being good enough. But you have received the “Spirit of full acceptance,” enfolding you into the family of God. And you will never feel orphaned, for as he rises up within us, our spirits join him in saying the words of tender affection, “Beloved Father!”
    ‭‭— Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭TPT‬‬
  • Decree, The season has changed. The Lord has drawn to a close the season of deep cleansing, stripping away, mindset and habit renewal, rebuilding, and refilling me with good and healthy things. That season has required me to be in a posture of waiting and submission. The new season is one for driving. He is directing me to accelerate into the change that he’s put in my heart. He’s directing me to go after the good works that He planned for me in advance. I’m not going to confuse the seasons or get stuck in the past. I will be moved by the impulses of His Spirit, and I will drive.
