The confidence of my calling enables me to overcome every difficulty without shame, for I have an intimate revelation of this God. And my faith in him convinces me that he is more than able to keep all that I’ve placed in his hands safe and secure until the fullness of his appearing.
2 Timothy 1:12 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Advanced discipline. Discipline your thoughts. Discipline your actions to obedience. Have the trust and the discipline of a well-trained, well-equipped, healthy, ready soldier. War is all around, but I have given you everything you need. I Am the Commander-in-Chief. Heed My voice. Follow My instructions. It’s simple.
Timothy, my dear son, live your life empowered by God’s free-flowing grace, which is your true strength, found in the anointing of Jesus and your union with him!
2 Timothy 2:1 TPT
I will give you war plans and blueprints. Sometimes I will parcel them out with just a single instruction or a few instructions at a time. I don’t want you to get overwhelmed with My plan or the size and scope of the war we are in. So don’t look around and try to figure it out. Don’t look around and try to size this thing up. Seek My face. Seek My voice, and heed the words and instructions I give. This is the way to win. My war plans and battle strategies are flawless, and they ensure victory. So do the work, the assignment I put in your stands with all diligence, and I will lead you forward. You don’t need the full picture. It would overwhelm you and cause you to to be paralyzed. It would take your breath away. I’m giving you precisely what you need to advance the part I have given you. Don’t look to the right or the left.
You will see that I give you great insights into how your part is harmonizing and fueling other parts. You will begin to see the synchronicity of My plan and the seemingly distinct works that I Am doing and orchestrating. As we move forward and you obey and do your part, you will see how these seemingly disparate, seemingly very unrelated parts are all being sewn together as part of the incalculable war strategy.
Overcome every form of evil as a victorious soldier of Jesus the Anointed One. For every soldier called to active duty must divorce himself from the distractions of this world so that he may fully satisfy the one who chose him.
2 Timothy 2:3-4 TPT
This plan is too massive for the soldiers to comprehend. So stick with Me. Do your part, and march forward in diligence, in discipline and great joy. Your role is vital. Your voice is necessary. But comprehension or understanding of the full plan is not. Simply move forward as I instruct. Do the tasks and assignments I place in your hands, and go forth in joy. This is how we win. I have soldiers in places you cannot fathom or imagine. Don’t worry about what’s taking place on your right or to your left. Just move forward in disciplined, joyful obedience. This is how we win.
How to Respond
- Seek the Lord, and obey His instructions quickly and fully.
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You that You are my counselor, teacher and instructor. Help me to heed Your voice quickly, joyfully and fully. I want to be one who can be trusted to complete the assignments and tasks You give. Thank You that as we move forward, You will impart an increasing understanding and awareness of all the pieces You are weaving together in this massive, overwhelming, victory-bringing war strategy.
- Declare, Carefully consider all that I’ve taught you, and may our Lord inspire you with wisdom and revelation in everything you say and do. But make Jesus, the Anointed One, your focus in life and ministry. For he came to earth as the descendant of David and rose from the dead, according to the revelation of the gospel that God has given me.
2 Timothy 2:7-8 TPT - Decree, I serve the Creator of the Universe, the ever-victorious God. Whom or what shall I fear? My job and my commitment is to seek His face and obey His voice. I will do both joyfully and with great discipline. As we move forward, I will have greater understanding of how all of these pieces are working together. And we will see and experience overwhelming victory.
