Today’s Reading:
Luke 8
1 Corinthians 1
Ephesians 5
No one lights a lamp and then hides it, covering it over or putting it where no one sees its light. No, he places the lamp on a lampstand so others benefit from its brightness.
Luke 8:16 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
It’s time to polish and display the trophies of your heart. Those things that you love dearly, that you cherish, of which you are so proud. It’s time to put them on full and open display for the world to see. They have been hidden in a dark, shuttered room in your heart instead of put on display. Don’t you think the world should know what they are? Don’t you think the places where you have great victory should be shared?
Brothers and sisters, consider who you were when God called you to salvation. Not many of you were wise scholars by human standards, nor were many of you in positions of power. Not many of you were considered the elite when you answered God’s call. But God chose those whom the world considers foolish to shame those who think they are wise, and God chose the puny and powerless to shame the high and mighty. He chose the lowly, the laughable in the world’s eyes—nobodies—so that he would shame the somebodies. For he chose what is regarded as insignificant in order to supersede what is regarded as prominent, so that there would be no place for prideful boasting in God’s presence.
1 Corinthians 1:26-29 TPT
How can you keep these trophies, these great and hard-fought victories in a dark and hidden private room? They should be put on full display for the world to see. They should be seen, so people can learn about them, can ask about them, can understand the history and the battle behind them. Don’t you know that putting these victories you have won with Me by your side on display will spare people a lot of heartache, will spare people a lot of wandering, will spare people a lot of stumbling and failures? Keeping your victories hidden is not my intent or design. They are meant to be shared, openly, vulnerably in humility but also with great pride — the pride of partnering with Your Savior and King to overcome again and again and again.
For it is not from man that we draw our life but from God as we are being joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. And now he is our God-given wisdom, our virtue, our holiness, and our redemption. And this fulfills what is written: If anyone boasts, let him only boast in all that the Lord has done!
1 Corinthians 1:30-31 TPT
These trophies, these victorious crowns of battle must be worn, must be displayed, must be taught, rehearsed and offered as open doors for discussion, learning and deeper understanding. Your trophies, your crowns, your victories can spare people, can help people, can level-up people. This is a part of My design for acceleration. It requires sharing, coaching, teaching and raw honesty about the victories that you and I have won together. If you hide them in a dark closet in your heart, how does that advance this generation? How does that level-up and accelerate the next generation? This is a call to shine up, clean up and display those trophies. The victories we won together are not just for you. They are to be shared.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord help me to review and recognize the victories we have won together. Help me to bring those out, to be vulnerable, open and willing to share these experiences, lessons and truths with those who need them.
- Declare, All that he does in us is designed to make us a mature church for his pleasure, until we become a source of praise to him—glorious and radiant, beautiful and holy, without fault or flaw.
Ephesians 5:27 TPT - Decree, I have a role to play in the advancement, acceleration and leveling up of this generation and the next ones. I will speak, share and teach people about the victories I have won in partnership with the Lord, so we can go farther, faster. I will not sit by and allow others to trip and fall and wander in the same ways I did. All glory for every victory won goes to Jesus Christ my Savior and King.
