Today’s Reading:
Psalm 23
Luke 18
Isaiah 26
Isaiah 59
Isaiah 65
“You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.”
Psalms 23:5 NLT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
This is your cup overflows season. I Am preparing a table for you in the presence of your enemies, and they will see your fruitfulness. They will choke on their own words against you, and it will be their names that are shamed, not yours. I have seen their judgements decreed against you. Yet nothing is found in you. Your house is clean. Not true of theirs. Theirs have skeletons in every closet. And when their judgement decrees have nowhere to land on you, they will return and be visited upon the senders. This is a serious and a weighty thing. And this is a serious and a weighty time.
“So don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?”
Luke 18:7b NLT
Judgement is coming for your enemies. Pray for them. It will be significant, heavy and harsh. They will reap what they have sown. And the idle words and the terroristic words they have sent out that could find no place to land will be heaped on top of them. My judgement won’t be overturned. It is final. Pray for their souls.
“Go home, my people, and lock your doors! Hide yourselves for a little while until the Lord’s anger has passed. Look! The Lord is coming from heaven to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will no longer hide those who have been killed. They will be brought out for all to see.”
Isaiah 26:20-21 NLT
“All day long I opened my arms to a rebellious people. But they follow their own evil paths and their own crooked schemes.”
Isaiah 65:2 NLT
The weightiness and seriousness of what they have done cannot be wiped away or dismissed. The bowls of My wrath will pour down on your enemies. It is decreed, and My judgement is final. They have stained the land with their bloodshed, and the innocent ones cry out to Me day and night. Remain faithful. Remain pure. Remain in prayer.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord, cause those who hate us, those who hate You to find a way to repent so their souls may be spared. Thank You that You are bringing judgement, because You are just. You take no pleasure in the death of the wicked. Thank You that You are honoring and blessing those who have been faithful to You even in the midst of this judgement against evil.
- Declare, “He will repay his enemies for their evil deeds. His fury will fall on his foes. He will pay them back even to the ends of the earth.”
— Isaiah 59:18 NLT - Decree, This is the time of the Lord’s judgement. He will bless and honor those who have remained faithful and pure even in the presence of our enemies. And then He will bring severe judgement on the enemies who have operated unchecked — who have taken aim at Him, profaned His Name and done evil to His people and particularly to the innocent ones. The souls of the wicked ones may yet be saved, but they will not be spared from His judgement and wrath.
