Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 41
Isaiah 66
Psalm 28
“For My hand made all these things, Thus all these things came into being,” declares the Lord. “But to this one I will look, To him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word.”
Isaiah 66:2 NASB1995
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Walk after Me. Pick up My ways. Choose to sync up with My heartbeat, and I will give you rest. I will be your abiding peace in the storm, in the now and in the days ahead. Trust is found in the delight of the Lord. Trust is anchored in regular review of My faithfulness, the recounting of the testimonies of My goodness and astonishment at My wonder- working power. I will do it again, at a larger scale in your life. I will astonish you with My goodness again. I will gobsmack you with My miraculous plan for recovery.
“Give them according to their deeds, And according to the wickedness of their endeavours: Give them after the work of their hands; Render to them their desert.”
Psalm 28:4 KJV
The faithfulness of My sword will be seen to lay bare every lie, every assault, every attack that has come against you and to make them pay. What was lost, robbed and stolen in the desert will be repaid many, many times over in the Promised Land. What was spent, broken and torn away from you in the desert will be repaid manyfold. Many, many fold. In My manifold wisdom I did it this way. I allowed them to trample you underfoot. You were tested and sorted. You have been on the threshing floor.
“Behold, I have made you a new, sharp threshing sledge with double edges; You will thresh the mountains and pulverize them, And will make the hills like chaff. You will winnow them, and the wind will carry them away, And the storm will scatter them; But you will rejoice in the Lord, You will glory in the Holy One of Israel.”
Isaiah 41:15-16 NASB1995
Why did it have to be this way? I tested you to ensure that you would be faithful. I tested you to make sure you had the mettle, and I tested you to build something immovable deep within you, so when I brought you into the Promised Land, the person I made you to be — the leader, the voice, the humble servant would remain. I allowed the pounding, and I permitted the threshing so you could see who you really are and could know the substance of which you are really made.
“Shall I bring to the point of birth and not give delivery?” says the Lord. “Or shall I who gives delivery shut the womb?” says your God.”
Isaiah 66:9 NASB1995
Now I Am sending you into a new day, a new place, the Land of Promise. Stay this way. My charge and admonition to you as you cross this threshold into promise is, stay this way. Stay close to Me and stay humble, and all will be well with you.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord thank You for Your perfect plans and perfect ways. Thank You for moving in perfect wisdom in my life, even when I can’t see or understand what You are doing. Lord, thank You for bringing justice and repayment for all that has been stolen, lost, broken and ripped away from me in the desert. Help me to stay close to You and live in the delight of You — unimpressed and unmoved by man or wealth — in the Land of Promise.
- Declare, “Blessed be the LORD, Because he hath heard the voice of my supplications. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: Therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. The LORD is their strength, And he is the saving strength of his anointed. Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: Feed them also, and lift them up for ever.”
Psalm 28:6-9 KJV - Decree, The Lord’s faithfulness never fails. His ways, His words and His plans are perfect. He is moving me from the desert wilderness to the Land of Promise, and I will not forsake Him. I will not be moved by money, man or success. I will remain entwined as one with the Lord and live in the absolute overflowing joy and delight of Him. His Presence is my favorite place, no matter what surrounds me.
