Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 60
Isaiah 61
Psalm 103
Psalm 27

““Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth And deep darkness the peoples; But the Lord will rise upon you And His glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭60‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Arise from the ashes oh eagles of prey. My eagles have been in the ashes of mourning, loss and nearly despair. They have been at the razor’s edge of despair for what has been lost, broken, stolen and delayed. Arise oh eagles. Rise you war eagles, and remember you are birds of prey. You are the hunters, not the hunted. The one who hunts you does so illegally. But all that you hunt, seek and desire is yours for the keeping. I Am turning the tables. Where My war eagles have been in mourning and in ashes, I Am calling you to rise and fly again.

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed me To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to captives And freedom to prisoners; To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To grant those who mourn in Zion, Giving them a garland instead of ashes, The oil of gladness instead of mourning, The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

The canopy of My favor and kindness is settled over your life, the higher you go, the more favor and kindness will touch you. Do not stay down there in the ashes. Defeat does not suit you. It is not appropriate for a warring bird of prey to be found for so long amidst the ashes. The time to go higher is now. The time to catch fresh vision and see farther than you have been able to see from where your feet have been planted on the ground is now. I have great vistas and conquests and assignments prepared. But you must mobilize. You must leave the ashes, the regret, the lingering lack of understanding, the mourning and the association with loss and despair. And you must rise as one crowned victorious by the King of Glory. Arise warring eagles of prey. The time to soar is now. The time to return to your greater glory is now.

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits; Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle. The Lord performs righteous deeds And judgments for all who are oppressed.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭103‬:‭2‬-‭6‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

The time to ascend and preview your future is now. You have behaved as though your wings were clipped, when they were not. You have permitted My grace to be overshadowed by loss, defeat and delay, and you lost your vision. As a result, all you could see was what was not. It’s time to shake all of that off and rise up as the warrior you are. Rise up as the hunter, the warring eagle of prey that you are and ascend to great heights again. Regain your vision again. Accomplish great exploits again. Achieve outsized victories again. The time to arise is now. The time to ascend is now. The time to soar and preview what lies ahead is now. Position yourself for victory and conquering.

How to Respond

  • Pray, Lord thank You for seeing me. Thank You for knowing me and for plumbing the depths of my heart. Help me to shake it all off and arise. I want to soar again, to have fresh vision again. I want to conquer and be victorious and do great exploits again. Help me to leave the ashes behind for the new day of promise.
  • Declare, “I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
  • Decree, Those who pursue me, seek me and hunt me do so illegally, and the Lord will deal with them. I will arise and shine. I will soar and return to great heights. I am the rightful hunter, and the tables are turning on those who hunt me. The Lord will crown me with greater glory again. He is bringing me into victories and great exploits again. I am rising up, leaving the ashes and returning to my calling and birthright.
