“Jesus said to those Jews who believed in him, “When you continue to embrace all that I teach, you prove that you are my true followers. For if you embrace the truth, it will release true freedom into your lives.””
John 8:31-32 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
The truth shall set you free. Lie after lie after lie has been spoken to you, over you, about you and about the world you live in. But I Am coming to flip the script. Only the truth can set people free. Only the Anointed Christ, King Jesus has the power to set men free. His is the truth, the true way and the true life. And He has come so that you may have life more abundant. This is the time of a great upheaval, so that truth overthrows darkness and the people can be set free. The truth is coming in like a great bulldozer, and it’s scooping up and removing the thick layer of lies so the underlying truth can be seen.
Magnificent facts can be presented — astonishing and fascinating facts. That doesn’t make them unmanufactured. That doesn’t make them the organic, essential truth. Facts are the bread that has been feeding My people, while the truth, much truth and many truths have remained hidden. It’s time to dispose of the stale, crumbly bread of facts that can’t satisfy. And instead consume the wholesome, warm, fullsome bread and meat of truth.
“Listen! Are you thirsty for more? Come to the refreshing waters and drink. Even if you have no money, come, buy, and eat. Yes, come and buy all the wine and milk you desire— it won’t cost a thing. Why spend your hard-earned money on something that can’t nourish you or work so hard for something that can’t satisfy? So listen carefully to me and you’ll enjoy a sumptuous feast, delighting in the finest of food.
Isaiah 55:1-2 TPT
The truth will set you free. The upheaval and removal, the displacing and dispossessing of lies from the land, the removal of lies from the land, from the very ground upon which you set your feet — will set men free. Like barnacles many may stick to the facts that they have known and loved. But like mushrooms, those facts have grown under dark and stinky, manure-filled conditions. Don’t cling to a narrative. Don’t cling to facts. Cling to the one who is truth. Rely upon the one who leads you into all truth. Facts will fail you. But the truth will set you free.
“God always makes his grace visible in Christ, who includes us as partners of his endless triumph. Through our yielded lives he spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere we go.
2 Corinthians 2:14 TPT
It’s time to be set free. So loose your grip on the need to understand. Loose your grip on demanding your right to know. And allow My Spirit and the fragrance of Christ to lead you into all truth, into essential truths that have been long buried, and to the fruitful way of life that has been stolen from you. I’m come to set men free. This is a rescue plan. It starts with pushing back lies, displacing and removing lies and exposing the underlying truth. That’s where it begins. Keep an open mind and an open heart. And let My voice guide you into paths and truths untold and unknown. I will set you free if you let Me.
How to Respond
- Pray, Holy Spirit help me to loose my grip on the facts and narratives that I have been told. Help me instead cling to You and allow myself to be led by Your Spirit into all truth. Help me to discern between the truth and the facts and lies that have been sent to deceive me and throw me off-course. I want to live in the abundance of life in You, loving, seeking and desiring the truth.
- Declare, “A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect —life in its fullness until you overflow!”
John 10:10 TPT - Decree, I am letting go of my need for understanding and my right to know. I will pursue the Lord, and I will watch as He causes the truth to bring upheaval to lies that have completely covered over our foundations. I will keep an open mind and an open heart as He reveals things that defy all I have been told. I love the truth. I love the Lord, and I will Him set me free.
