Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 12
Numbers 14
“Then you will say on that day, “I will give thanks to You, O Lord; For although You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, And You comfort me. Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the Lord God is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.”
Isaiah 12:1-2 NASB1995
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
I’m settling hearts on Mine. I’m settling hearts on the finished work of the Cross. I’m bringing a settledness and a finality, a security to people’s identities — in Christ. The time of flimsy, self-focused, self-aggrandizing, self-seeking and self-protecting because the true you is fragile, flaky and unknown — those days are closing for My people and for those who I Am raising up from the ashes in this time. Even from the ashes of defeat, even from the ashes of identity crisis and self-destruction — I Am raising up Christ-centered, Christ-focused warriors of old. These are warriors whose eyes are for the King and the prize of the King’s glory — not for self, not for recognition, not for notice or for a measure of fame.
“Therefore you will joyously draw water From the springs of salvation. And in that day you will say, “Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name. Make known His deeds among the peoples; Make them remember that His name is exalted.”
Isaiah 12:3-4 NASB1995
The warriors I Am raising up now have eyes for their King and for the mission and the heart of the King. Everything else that is not in alignment or service to those two things is an obstacle — is in the way. These are warriors like Uriah, who refused to be tempted, even by the gifts that were rightly theirs to delight in and enjoy. But in loyalty and fealty they say no — I will not be deterred from my mission, from the battle until the mission is done, until the time of war has receded. The Lord is raising up hearts who are lovers of the King, that love the King more than their own life, more than any distraction and more than any good and perfect gift from the King’s own hand. He is raising up warriors of light who understand the times and the seasons, who understand what it means to be about their Father’s business, to be about the King’s business, and they will not be deterred. Fierce focus and ferocious faith are hallmarks of these warriors. They won’t be cowed by naysayers, and woe to the lukewarm ones who get in their way. They will be met with swift correction and pushed aside.
“Praise the Lord in song, for He has done excellent things; Let this be known throughout the earth. Cry aloud and shout for joy, O inhabitant of Zion, For great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.”
Isaiah 12:5-6 NASB1995
This is a day when the warriors are rising, where identity is seared and sealed into the very beings of these warriors, and no one and nothing can change their minds or draw them off-track from gazing upon their King and from having eyes and a heart only to please Him and to see His glory spread throughout the earth. These are the new warriors of old.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord thank You for raising up these new warriors. Thank You for being the giver of identity and the One who commissions warriors into service. Help me to a warrior of old — with eyes only for You, Your heart, Your mission and Your glory.
- Declare, “but indeed, as I live, all the earth will be filled with the glory of the Lord.”
Numbers 14:21 NASB1995 - Decree, The Lord is great and greatly to be praised. He is the King of kings, the Lord of lords and the God of all Creation. He is raising up warriors from the ashes — from defeat, self-destruction and personal chaos. And He is calling them by His Name. He is branding them with the identity of sons and daughters of the Most High King, and He is commissioning them into service. They will have eyes and a heart and a focused determination to please Him, to accomplish His purposes and make His glory known throughout the Earth.
