“The way you counsel me makes me praise you more, for your whispers in the night give me wisdom, showing me what to do next.”
Psalms 16:7 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
I counsel you in the night hours, and when you wake that counsel remains as a steadying weight in your heart. It’s not a weight that weights you down. It steadies your walk. It helps you to maintain balance as you walk, and it gives you the living understanding on what to do, on how to respond, on the decisions to make. My night counsel is great. It is a steadying anchor for your soul — to keep you connected to Me and to My yes.
“Because I set you, Yahweh, always close to me, my confidence will never be weakened, for I experience your wraparound presence every moment.”

I counsel you in the night, and in the light of day, I make your dreams come true. The night dreams and counsel inform the way you should walk, the conversations you should have, the choices you should make and the places you should go. Aligning with, agreeing with this night counsel and acknowledging it for what it is will allow you to step into destiny. It will put you in the right place at the right time — moment by moment. You don’t have to figure it out. Don’t lean on your own understanding.
“Where can wisdom be found? It is born in the fear of God. Everyone who follows his ways will never lack his living-understanding. And the adoration of God will abide throughout eternity!”

I Am counseling you in the night and imprinting My living instruction on your heart before you ever wake up. My night counsel is a gift. Connect with it. Align with it. Acknowledge it, and live by it. And then all of your stumbling ways will be made straight. I love to give you night dreams. It’s the place where your imagination has no limits, and I Am the limitless God of unending understanding. I will make your crooked places straight, as you align with My night counsel and Heaven-sent night dreams.
How to Respond
- Worship the Lord, and ask the Lord to give you particular insight into His night counsel and dreams.
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You for being my Counselor and the One who instructs me in the way I should go. Help me to align with the living understanding that Your counsel has placed on my heart in the night. Help me to walk by faith in the day — acknowledging that in the night hours You already deposited into me everything I need.
- Declare, “cry out to me and I will answer you. I will reveal to you great things, guarded secrets that you never could have known.”
—Jeremiah 33:3 TPT - Decree, Great is the Lord’s faithfulness. He counsels me in the night and imprints on my heart living understanding for how to live in the day ahead. Moment by moment, I can be in alignment with Heaven as I acknowledge His counsel and move by the impulses of His Spirit. I don’t have to worry or fret, because He is all-knowing. He is the very best Father, and He is making my way plain.
