Today’s Reading:
Psalm 32
Proverbs 3
Lamentations 3
“What bliss belongs to the one whose rebellion has been forgiven, those whose sins are covered by blood. What bliss belongs to those who have confessed their corruption to God! For he wipes their slates clean and removes hypocrisy from their hearts.”
Psalms 32:1-2 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Trust and obey, and your joy will abound. It will overflow as you yield, as you give Me your permanent yes. Instead of the tug and pull between your will and Mine, release yours completely and just partner with Me. I have the blueprints. I love your ideas, your input, your creativity. I want us to partner together under My headship, My command. That’s easier to do, so much more fun to do than the constant tugging and pulling to get on the same page all the time. Just submit to Me your yes, and let’s build together, in partnership, in friendship, in love and in fun.
‘I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!”’
Psalms 32:8-9
It’s so much more fun when you release the tension that is the will of your old self and get on board with what I Am doing, with the new vision I’m building in your heart even now. As you submit, you’ll find out how much easier life is this way — how much lighter and sweeter, how much less contentious internally and how much more readily you can smile. I’m taking you into a time of ease — not that war won’t be present, but the war inside of you will finally cease. You will know your place as soldier and not master, not Lord. And that’s when the fun begins. When you recognize, submit and assent to your place in My Kingdom, that’s when the true fun begins. The pressure is off. The internal warring is over. And life in the Spirit, moved by the impulses of My voice truly begins.
“Yahweh’s tender mercies have no end, and the kindness of his endless love is never exhausted. New, fresh mercies greet me with every sunrise. So wonderfully great is your faithfulness! I tell my soul, “Yahweh is my abundant portion. I need nothing more. So, I will put all my hope in him.””
Lamentations 3:22-24 TPT
It’s simple, but it hasn’t been easy for you to get here. You’re in this place now. So just fully release all you’re holding onto into My most trustworthy hands. And then you can walk with Me in full trust, in full joy, in full delight and with complete confidence that all My promises are true, and I Am building something great inside of you and with you. It’s My turn to lead this ship.
How to Respond
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You for sticking with me through all of my internal struggles and all of my trying to grapple for control. I submit to You fully now. I don’t want to have this push and pull all the time. I want peace in my soul, and I want to be led easily and gently — directly by Your Spirit. Life is so much better that way. Help me to adjust to that new reality in my life. You are the Lord, and I am Your willing, happy servant, solider, child and friend.
- Declare, “Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go. Don’t think for a moment that you know it all, for wisdom comes when you adore him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that’s wrong.”
— Proverbs 3:5-7 TPT - Decree, I give up on trying to manage and control every aspect of my life. I release that fully and finally to the leadership of the Lord God Almighty. I will trust and obey His commands, and I will build with Him in ease, in submission, in partnership and friendship. I’m entering a new phase of life — and it will not be nearly as hard as it has been getting here.
