Today’s Reading:
1 Peter 5
Psalm 91
“If you bow low in God’s awesome presence, he will eventually exalt you as you leave the timing in his hands. Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you.”
1 Peter 5:6-7 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God of all grace say,
Grace is a shield that covers you. A wall of grace is hiding you from sight. Birds of prey are in the atmosphere, looking to pick off who they might. The wall of My grace that is shielding you may feel confining. It may even feel like a prison wall. The enemy has his sights on you, yet I Am shielding you in my love. This grace is a shelter to you, covering your weakness and even hiding your strength. I don’t want the enemy to see what you’ve got. I don’t want him to comprehend the arsenal at your disposal and the stockpile of weapons you have to wield in spiritual warfare. I want you to go unnoticed. That’s what My grace is for.
“Be well balanced and always alert, because your enemy, the devil, roams around incessantly, like a roaring lion looking for its prey to devour. Take a decisive stand against him and resist his every attack with strong, vigorous faith. For you know that your believing brothers and sisters around the world are experiencing the same kinds of troubles you endure.”
1 Peter 5:8-9 TPT
The shield of My grace is covering you in this time of war that’s leading into greater and more intense war. I will reveal you in My time for My purposes. But know that your hiddenness has kept you safe. Know that your hiddenness is not a punishment but a great, wide, secure protection from the sightline of the enemy. Your hiddenness won’t last forever. That’s why I’ve created the element of surprise — for a new kind of grace to take over once the time and the need for My shielding wall of grace is through. Don’t get discouraged. Don’t give up. I’ve got My eyes on you. I Am guiding you and shielding you, protecting you with My righteous right hand. Stick with it. Whom or what shall you fear?
“And then, after your brief suffering, the God of all loving grace, who has called you to share in his eternal glory in Christ, will personally and powerfully restore you and make you stronger than ever. Yes, he will set you firmly in place and build you up. And he has all the power needed to do this —forever! Amen.”
1 Peter 5:10-11 TPT
I Am covering you with the shadow of My hand. Don’t give up. Don’t run out from under My cover in frustration or in angst. Stay hidden in Me, and I will shine the light on you and promote you in a new way when the time is right. Don’t give up. Hold on. My promises are true, and this wall is not a barrier to your future. It is a shield protecting you.
How to Respond
- Trust the Lord, and do not run out ahead of His timing.
- Pray, Lord Your grace is sufficient for me. Help me to do the work You’ve called me to do and be the person You’ve called me to be in the hidden place. I worship and adore You Lord. I can’t see what You see, but I trust You. Help me to stay protected by the great wall of Your grace. I won’t fear as long as You are with me.
- Declare, “When you abide under the shadow of Shaddai, you are hidden in the strength of God Most High. He’s the hope that holds me and the stronghold to shelter me, the only God for me, and my great confidence. He will rescue you from every hidden trap of the enemy, and he will protect you from false accusation and any deadly curse. His massive arms are wrapped around you, protecting you. You can run under his covering of majesty and hide. His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm.”
— Psalms 91:1-4 TPT - Decree, The Lord’s grace is a mighty wall shielding us from the sightline of the enemy. He can’t see me here, and he can’t perceive my equipping or capabilities here. The Lord will use the element of surprise when He moves me from the hidden place. But I will remain here as long as the Lord instructs. I won’t be moved. My God will promote me at the right time.
