Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 6
Psalm 139
Proverbs 3

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!””
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭6‬:‭8‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Transition is here. Dramatic change is here. The line drawn in the sand is here, and you have crossed over it. The day of crossing over is done. The fundamentally new place is here. And the new time is now. The old is left behind. The new day is now. The expectations of old don’t measure up here. It’s time to make the mindset shift. What was good there is no longer suitable here. What was excellent there falls way below the threshold of desirable here. This is a new charge, a new place, and the landscape ahead is not like the landscape you have known.

“You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. You have laid your hand on me!”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139‬:‭3‬-‭5‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Where you have been on the back side of the desert, I Am bringing you into a place filled with highways and byways. Yours is a road less traveled. But it will intersect with these. It will be informed by the goings on of these, and you will be met by the travelers of these. Your mandate has not changed, but it has shifted. It has notably and demonstrably shifted, and time will tell that story. Where you have been fitting into a mold that was never meant for you, I have broken you out, and I have set a fresh mantle upon you. Where you conformed and directed your energies in a certain way to meet the expectations and needs of that former place, now your vistas are much broader, wider. They are limitless. The skills you have learned and the places I have brought you up until now have served you well. But I have broken you out of that mold from that old place and set your feet on new ground. It’s time to look at this place differently. The people, some of the people and faces may be the same. But your mandate is different. The middle ground may be a little difficult, because you have this new, fresh mandate in your heart. But the expectations and perceived needs from before still linger. In the minds of others, nothing has changed. But for you, everything has changed. That will be a little messy to sort through. Do it with grace, and set fresh boundaries.

“Wherever I go, your hand will guide me; your strength will empower me. You saw who you created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139‬:‭10‬, ‭16‬ ‭TPT‬‬

The road ahead is different. Some will come. Others have different assignments. And that’s how I have designed it. Yours is the road less traveled. So very few are invited along for the ride. But your connections and your engagements with many on the former roads, other roads and other assignments will strengthen and be as great established connectors and nodes. Don’t feel that just because I have set you on the road less traveled, you are on it alone. You have many, many, many voices and hands and minds and hearts of wisdom to tap into, who will serve you and whom you will also serve well. Your road is different, but you are not alone. The network is amplified by the many roads and the many nodes. The highway is getting desolate and will get more so as these bright connections, this decentralized network of My lovers on mission do what they are called and designed to do. This is that day. Relish in your road less traveled. Truly, My design was for everyone to be on roads less traveled.

How to Respond

  • Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. And love your neighbor as yourself.
  • Pray, Holy Spirit, thank You for crossing me over into this new day and this new place. Thank You for breaking me out of the mold from which I operated in the former place and time. Help me to acclimate well to the freedom You have given me in this wide-open spacious place. And help me to handle the transition well from my former areas of focus and ways of operating to the new ones You have set in my heart. Help me to update the expectations of others and set fresh boundaries accordingly.
  • Declare, “Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go.”
    ‭‭— Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭TPT‬‬
  • Decree, The Lord has brought me from the backside of the desert to a new, wide-open place. My road here is narrow and less traveled. And my mandate has changed. I have a lot of adjustments to make in mindset, habits, the expectations of others and boundaries. But this is a new place and a new time. Though it may seem like a lonely road, the Lord has established many, many connections for me to others on their own roads less traveled. Together we will make a vast, decentralized network of connections that empties out the highways and the byways. The Lord’s plans will succeed. And I will live fully in the mandate, purpose and design for which He created me. This is going to be a very, very good season.
