2 Corinthians 6:11-13
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
I have set adventure in the heart of mankind. Stop squelching it so you can live a safe, manicured life. Go out and enjoy. Hike. Wonder. Wander, and get to see Me in nature. Get to see Me and hear Me and experience Me in fresh ways that you have not yet done. I’m playing the strings of adventure in your heart, and it’s time you caught up with the chorus. It’s time to do more than enjoy and feel the thrum of excitement from the sidelines, from the confines. I have opened the gate to set you free. So roam. It’s time to roam aplenty.

It’s time to stay out exploring till dark. It’s time to pitch a tent in life and look differently at home base. I’m calling you to jump in the deep and figure out what to do once you get there. You have had preparations. You have had extensive training. But your muscles for adventure are growing weak from lack of use. It’s time to get out there. Complacent, domesticated and confined does not suit you. I made you for terrain. I made you for weather. I made you for the unfamiliar and the difficult to navigate. That is life in My Spirit. Stop playing paddy cakes in the mud of your back yard. You are not an infant. You are a battle-tested warrior. I have fashioned you for the field, for the war zone, for the frontier. It’s time to return to the grit and the heart of your call. It’s time to get back in shape. It’s time to ready your gear. It’s time to hit the road.
“True love for God means obeying his commands, and his commands don’t weigh us down as heavy burdens. You see, every child of God overcomes the world, for our faith is the victorious power that triumphs over the world. So who are the world conquerors, defeating its power? Those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.”

I have an all-terrain vehicle ready for you. So prepare yourself to return to active duty. Ready yourself for the call. It’s coming.
How to Respond
- Trust in the Lord your God. Do what He says to get ready, so you can respond immediately to His call to new adventure.
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You for calling me from this place of safety that has grown too domesticated for me. Thank You for calling me to adventure again, to something new and unknown and uncharted again. Awaken the warrior in me. Awaken the adventurer and pioneer in me. Help me to ready myself, so I can respond “yes” at a moment’s notice.
- Declare, “And he also says, “My righteous ones will live from my faith. But if fear holds them back, my soul is not content with them!” But we are certainly not those who are held back by fear and perish; we are among those who have faith and experience true life!”
— Hebrews 10:38-39 TPT - Decree, Great is the Lord and worthy of all glory, honor and praise. He has placed the heart and spirit of a warrior inside of me. I will prepare myself to be called back out to adventure, to new terrain, to uncharted territory and to the unknown and the deep. I am His willing soldier, and I will not hesitate when called back out to adventure. I will be ready, and I will relish in it.
