Today’s Reading
Ephesians 5
Galatians 2
Colossians 1
1 Peter 5
Matthew 11
“This is why the Scripture says, “Arise, you sleeper! Rise up from your coffin and the Anointed One will shine his light into you!””
Ephesians 5:14 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Leave the past behind. And walk forward into My radiant glory. The past is gone. Leave it behind. These are glory to glory days. I’m leading you from glory to glory. I’m taking you from height to height. Blind faith will do. My track record of faithfulness has built your trust.
“My old identity has been co-crucified with Christ and no longer lives. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me—we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, dispensing his life into mine!”
Galatians 2:20 TPT
“Living within you is the Christ who floods you with the expectation of glory! This mystery of Christ, embedded within us, becomes a heavenly treasure chest of hope filled with the riches of glory for his people, and God wants everyone to know it!”
Colossians 1:27 TPT
What is this glory you seek? It’s My Divine Manifest Presence. It’s the very picture of on Earth as it is in Heaven. It’s a little slice of Eden right where you are. Purity can find it. Faith can access it. It’s like a secret garden behind whose doors are many, many treasures. Are you seeking Me? Are you trusting Me? Are you running in faith the course I’ve laid out before you? Full access to all of My riches in glory is here. A rulership anointing and a higher level of authority is in reach. Remember your humanness, and be human. You are not a machine. You are not a workhorse that never tires. Bless My Name, and make room to enjoy life. Even in the midst of the battle, celebrate the small things. Find ways to delight yourself in Me and in all that I created to bring you joy, life and pleasure. The world is evil, but My love and faithfulness is pure. Hold on to them and live likewise.
‘So be content with who you are, and don’t put on airs. God’s strong hand is on you; he’ll promote you at the right time. Live carefree before God; he is most careful with you. ‘
1 Peter 5:6-7
Yes, run the race set before you. Yes, leave the past behind. But another yes is for stopping to smell the roses, for dancing in the garden, for singing praises of joy, and for soaking in the light of My life. You are not a machine. I didn’t make you one. I made you human, in My image — yes to do good works that I have prepared for you in advance. But also to rest, to live, to delight and enjoy. You get this one life. Make it your aim along with all that I have given you charge to do — to maximize your experience of and expression of joy. Live in full joy My dear one.
Let the refreshing of My love cascade over you. Let it revive you and send you forth into this new day in full, blazing joy. Glory in Me, and I will glory in you. Feel the joy and the light surge forth from you as you relish in My nearness. My glory is resting upon you. And My delight is in you. Move forward in peace and full joy. Don’t look back.
How to Respond
- Trust the Lord. Let go of holding the reins of life so tightly that you can’t enjoy or rest.
- Pray, Holy Spirit help me to be moved by Your impulses. Help me to go when You say go, and rest when You say rest. Help me to make it a practice to stop, to delight in Your Creation and all that You have done in my life and in the world. I don’t want to be so busy and so focused on work that I can’t enjoy the life You’ve given me to live and the people and gifts You have given me.
- Declare, “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”’
— Matthew 11:28-30 - Decree, I choose to live in the unforced rhythms of God’s grace. I will be diligent in the work He has called me to do, but I will not run so hard and relentlessly that I burn out. I will walk by faith and not by sight, and I will move in the higher levels of authority He has ordained. I will make it a practice to set aside time to enjoy His Presence, His Creation and all the good things He has put in my life.
