Today’s Reading:
1 Corinthians 2
Proverbs 3
“However, there is a wisdom that we continually speak of when we are among the spiritually mature. It’s wisdom that didn’t originate in this present age, nor did it come from the rulers of this age who are in the process of being dethroned. Instead, we continually speak of this wonderful wisdom that comes from God, hidden before now in a mystery. It is his secret plan, destined before the ages, to bring us into glory. None of the rulers of this present world order understood it, for if they had, they never would have crucified the Lord of shining glory.”
1 Corinthians 2:6-8 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Don’t trust perceptions. You possess Christ’s perceptions, so be assured of your perception by stepping into His. Illusionists and perceptionists make grand things seem small, make great things seem petty and make minor things into mountains. My perceptions must be your perceptions. You must see through the work of the illusionists and the perceptionists to cover, to transform the outside, to sway opinion and to manipulate time.
“This is why the Scriptures say: Things never discovered or heard of before, things beyond our ability to imagine — these are the many things God has in store for all his lovers. But God now unveils these profound realities to us by the Spirit. Yes, he has revealed to us his inmost heart and deepest mysteries through the Holy Spirit, who constantly explores all things. After all, who can really see into a person’s heart and know his hidden impulses except for that person’s spirit? So it is with God. His thoughts and secrets are only fully understood by his Spirit, the Spirit of God.”
1 Corinthians 2:9-11 TPT
I want you to see from the perspective of the wide open-spacious life I’ve given you in Christ. I do not want you to perceive things from a crowded place or from the perspective of the crowds. What I want you to see, what I have for you to see is different, is clear, is pure, is true. Its sound rings as a clear, perfectly tuned bell. No dissonance, no wobbling, no sourness, no bitterness. Just true. The offness you perceive in the sounds and sights presented to you is the work of a perceptionist — to cover over, deceive, sway and manipulate.
“For we did not receive the spirit of this world system but the Spirit of God, so that we might come to understand and experience all that grace has lavished upon us. And we articulate these realities with the words imparted to us by the Spirit and not with the words taught by human wisdom. We join together Spirit-revealed truths with Spirit-revealed words. Someone living on an entirely human level rejects the revelations of God’s Spirit, for they make no sense to him. He can’t understand the revelations of the Spirit because they are only discovered by the illumination of the Spirit.”
1 Corinthians 2:12-14 TPT
I may not reveal the whole detail of the truth, all of the behind the scenes realities to you, but you can know true/false, real/fake, aligned in truth or off-base. That you can know through your access to and tapping into the mind of Christ. Worship leads you there. Purity of heart leads you there. Holding a tight grip on joy in the midst of a fight will keep you there. Love in Christ is the key to accessing and tapping into the mind of Christ. Do not believe what you see or hear. Do not take things at face value when that wave and frequency of dissonance hits your chest.
“Those who live in the Spirit are able to carefully evaluate all things, and they are subject to the scrutiny of no one but God. For Who has ever intimately known the mind of the Lord Yahweh well enough to become his counselor? Christ has, and we possess Christ’s perceptions.”
1 Corinthians 2:15-16 TPT
Tap into the clarity and purity of the mind of Christ, and from Him you will have a pure flow of truth, and the truth through the Son will set you free indeed. Will keep you free indeed. Don’t be bound by what you see or hear. Illusionists and perceptionists abound who want to bring you into slavery through assent, through agreement, through belief. Your faith is to be in Christ alone. Allow Him, His mind to be the filter for your perceptions, and you will remain clean, and you will remain free. You won’t get overwhelmed, and your mind and soul will not get diseased. The truth will set you and keep you free. As you confirm and filter all inputs through the mind of your Lord Jesus Christ, you will be and remain free indeed.
How to Respond
- Live in purity with heart of worship. Test all things by the Spirit of God by filtering them through the mind of Christ.
- Pray, Holy Spirit help me to remain firmly in You, firmly in faith in Christ and anchored in Your love. I want to see things through the mind of Christ. I do not want to fall prey to illusionists and perceptionists who are working to manipulate my thoughts, actions and faith. I want to remain in truth, in love and in purity in Christ my King.
- Declare, “Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go. Don’t think for a moment that you know it all, for wisdom comes when you adore him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that’s wrong.”
— Proverbs 3:5-7 TPT - Decree, This is a time of great deception and illusion. I will not trust what I see or hear without applying it to the filter of the mind of Christ. I will pull aside and wait on the Lord rather than get into automatic agreement with any report. He is the way, the truth and the life, and seeing things through His perspective will keep me in truth, in faith and will keep me in the freedom He purchased for me.
