Today’s Reading:
Psalm 91
John 15
Exodus 14
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!””
Psalms 91:1-2 NASB1995
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Grace, rest and peace are found in Me alone. There is no other name by which men can be saved. It is through Me and by My Name alone. I Am salvation. I Am the way, the truth and the life. Abundance and rest are found in My bosom.
“He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark. You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day;”
Psalms 91:4-5 NASB1995
Fear not the days ahead. Fear not strife, and don’t anticipate sorrow, for I Am with you. I will cover you and uphold you with My righteous right hand, and the arrows of the enemy will have no place to land if you remain in Me. Those arrows the enemy has sent after you will land in the soil, and the venom meant for you will taint the place where he stands — the territory he calls his own. Trust, rest, and you will find generous grace to go about your Father’s work undisturbed, unfrightened, unbothered — bold and confident, defiant in the face of evil — just as I have commanded. Your strength comes from the place of abiding. My life in your veins brings joy that sustains and grace that advances you in your cause — in the cause I have placed in your heart.
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”
John 15:4-5 NASB1995
Choose well this day. Choose rest. Choose peace. Choose to abide. Choose great grace, and I will take care of the rest. I will absolutely take care of the rest. And soon, even though you war and are sent out to war — your home, your dwelling place, and your heart itself will have rest on all sides. Even in the battle. Even in the shaking. Even in the tumult and chaos — in your soul, you will have rest on all sides.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord thank You for making a way for me to have perfect peace and to abide and rest in You in the midst of war, in the midst of shaking and in the midst of great storms. Help me to learn how to stay in that flow, that grace you provide — to bring and keep me in rest, peace, joy and strength. Thank You for diverting the arrows of the enemy and causing them to poison his own place of standing. You are so good to me.
- Declare, “The Lord will fight for you while you keep silent.”
Exodus 14:14 NASB1995 - Decree, The Lord is my refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble. I will rest in Him. I will trust in Him. I will rely on Him, and I will find my strength and great joy from the place of abiding in Him. He will bring rest to my soul on all sides — even in the midst of battles, war, storms, shaking and chaos. The evil the enemy meant to pierce me with, will ultimately destroy his place standing.
