Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 60
John 12
“Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth And deep darkness the peoples; But the Lord will rise upon you And His glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.”
Isaiah 60:1-3 NASB1995
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
I’m drawing all men to Myself. This is the time of spiritual drawing. Where there has been a great emphasis on the external, I Am shifting people’s focus and concern to the internal. Heartscapes, souls and internal domains that have fallen into disrepair, that have been shunned and neglected, pushed aside — I’m stirring a waking and an interest in these places that have gone dormant, that have been medicated and numbed. I’m sharpening a longing that cannot be filled in any other way but by knowing Me, by meeting Me, by acknowledging Me.
“Lift up your eyes round about and see; They all gather together, they come to you. Your sons will come from afar, And your daughters will be carried in the arms. Then you will see and be radiant, And your heart will thrill and rejoice; Because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you, The wealth of the nations will come to you.”
Isaiah 60:4-5 NASB1995
This is a time of great turmoil and unrest, and I use that to draw all men to Myself. This is not a time for panic, worry or concern. It’s a time to let your light shine, because the searching and the stirring that I Am waking in hearts will be drawn to the light inside of you. They will be drawn to the light of your countenance and the unusual way in which you live your life — not for yourself, not for selfish gain, ambition or kudos — but for your King. My love and My light inside you penetrates the hearts of those seeking. And their souls will even be pierced by My Presence inside of you, by My Spirit resting on and hovering around you. This is a revival storm, because it’s a revival in the midst of a storm, a very great and dangerous storm. But the storm will not deter them from coming, from going out of their way. The storm will rather spur them forward — to the churches? Maybe. But certainly and abundantly, even in droves to those who are known lovers of Mine, to those whose lights and lives shine with the beauty of My favor resting on their countenances.
“No longer will you have the sun for light by day, Nor for brightness will the moon give you light; But you will have the Lord for an everlasting light, And your God for your glory. Your sun will no longer set, Nor will your moon wane; For you will have the Lord for an everlasting light, And the days of your mourning will be over. Then all your people will be righteous; They will possess the land forever, The branch of My planting, The work of My hands, That I may be glorified.”
Isaiah 60:19-21 NASB1995
This is not the way you thought it would happen. But it will indeed happen this way, in the midst of the storm, under cloud cover and through the rain — they will come. They will come. And My light that grows and builds and multiplies from inside of you, from inside of these wanderers turned seekers turned lovers will be the light of the new day. Your collective light will break through the fog, the gray, the clouds and the atmosphere. The new day will burst forth from inside of you. This new day is being birthed from inside My lovers.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord, thank You that You are stirring up revival and awakening in the midst of the storm. I will trust You, and I will continue to shine even in this storm. Help me to keep my heart settled and anchored in You. Help me to be a welcoming, calming, peaceful presence for all who You send my way. I want to introduce these seekers to You and be a pleasing, joyful representative and carrier of Your love.
- Declare, Jesus has come as a light to shine in this dark world so that all who trust in Him will no longer wander in darkness.
— adapted from John 12:46 TPT - Decree, Great is the Lord and worthy of all glory, honor and praise. He is the king of my heart and the light of my life. I will rise and shine. I will welcome the wanderers and the seekers and introduce them to Jesus. Though the storm kicks up and the winds and rains multiply, I will be found shining, in full joy and resting confidently in the love and power of my King.
