Today’s Reading:
Psalm 30
Hebrews 10
“I’ve learned that his anger lasts for a moment, but his loving favor lasts a lifetime! We may weep through the night, but at daybreak it will turn into shouts of ecstatic joy.”
Psalms 30:5 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Let My joy be your strength. Let My joy bubble up from inside of you and pour out generously for all to see. Why would you try to bottle it up? It works like an old cistern — the more you pump it, the more freely it flows. And there is not an end. I don’t limit the joy I give you. You are the one who stops pumping it out from your inside.
Mourning may last for a the night, but your joy, My full joy comes in the morning. Truth be told, My joy is still inside of you even in the mourning. It may feel dormant, but it is giving you the strength to make it through to the other side.
“Then he broke through and transformed all my wailing into a whirling dance of ecstatic praise! He has torn the veil and lifted from me the sad heaviness of mourning. He wrapped me in the glory-garments of gladness.”
Psalms 30:11 TPT
Change is come. And a natural mourning will take place for the passing of what has been. A deep sorrow will punctuate the end of what has been. But don’t stay there. Stir up My joy. Pump it up from inside of you. Allow it to burst forth. Allow yourself to overflow. Because the garden of your future will be greater than the garden you have known. The possibilities of the future outstrip and out-race the limitations of the place where you have been. Be willing to change. Be willing to let go. Be willing to allow yourself to mourn what is passing away even as you grab on to the joy of the new day I have brought forth. This is not a distant thing. Dramatic change, dramatic shifts will happen suddenly. Allow My joy to be your strength. Allow My joy to be your comfort. Allow My joy to help you to pivot from what has been to the new day, from the garden you have known to the land of opportunities.
“For soon and very soon, “The One who is appearing will come without delay!” And he also says, “My righteous ones will live from my faith. But if fear holds them back, my soul is not content with them!””
Hebrews 10:37-38 TPT
I have been building a greater garden inside of you. And now I’m calling you to take that garden, take this new level of fruitfulness of soul and bring it in to the land of opportunities I Am laying out. Don’t back up. Don’t shy away. It’s bigger than you imagined. It’s vaster than you imagined. Don’t agree with the enemy’s lie of feeling small, unqualified or not ready. What I bring you to, you can rest assured I have equipped you to tread here, to occupy here, to conquer here and to live valiantly here. Transition will come swiftly. Grab ahold of it. And make My joy to be your strength and your hallmark in this new place.
How to Respond
- Stir up the joy of the Lord and allow it to flow from you continually.
- Pray, Holy Spirit I can sense that transition is at my doorstep. I don’t know what it is, but I know You have equipped me to receive the change and to thrive in the new day. Thank You for Your promise to bring me into a broader place, a vast place of opportunity. I want to transition well, and I want to take full advantage of every opportunity You bring me. Help me to not get stuck by dwelling on the way things have been.
- Declare, “But we are certainly not those who are held back by fear and perish; we are among those who have faith and experience true life!”
— Hebrews 10:39 TPT - Decree, I will not resist the change that the Lord brings. I will allow myself to mourn the passing of the old. And I will choose and rely on the joy of the Lord to be my strength and to carry me successfully into the new day, the new place and the new opportunities He has for me. I will not shrink back in fear. I will move forward boldly in faith toward everything the Lord has for me.
