So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!’
Psalms 32:8-9 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
I Am your firm foundation. Let everything you do begin with Me. Rest is required. Rest is needed to gain new strength. You can’t go from glory to glory and strength to strength without rest. I Am your firm foundation, and I Am your place of rest. Trust in Me. Lean on Me. Call on Me. Have faith in Me. I will guide you forth by My righteous right hand. I will not leave you wandering alone in the desert. Remember I have brought you out of the desert place. So it’s time to start aligning your behavior and expectations with this new place.
Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go.
Proverbs 3:5-6 TPT
This is the land of milk and honey that you must war to keep. It’s here that you must war to gain, you must war to expand, and you must war to reach new heights. The wilderness was the training ground for your mind and soul. It was the training ground for getting Egypt out of your system and reverting your dependence to Me. Now that I have stripped you of many encumbrances of mindset, belief systems, unworthy desires and expectations that would lead to empty outcomes, I have brought you here to advance. I must not only be your starting point and Source, I must be the very foundation upon which you tread every single step going forward if you want to succeed.
“Everyone who hears my teaching and applies it to his life can be compared to a wise man who built his house on an unshakable foundation. When the rains fell and the flood came, with fierce winds beating upon his house, it stood firm because of its strong foundation. “But everyone who hears my teaching and does not apply it to his life can be compared to a foolish man who built his house on sand. When it rained and rained and the flood came, with wind and waves beating upon his house, it collapsed and was swept away.”
Matthew 7:24-27 TPT
The discipline you gained in the wilderness is a lifestyle that will sustain you here. Make Me your everything, your all in all, your starting point and foundation for every step forward, and you will never fail. Like Peter, if you stop allowing Me to be the focus and the foundation, you will go under, you will falter. But as long as I Am the beginning, the focus and the foundation, as long as I Am in all that you do, every step forward, you will not run out of strength or victory.
Hold onto Me. Hold onto hope. These days ahead require Me to be your ever expanding firm foundation. Ensure that I Am the basis for every step you take. As long as I Am, I will uphold you and be your strength. Trust Me to guide you. I will be your strength.
How to Respond
- Ensure your starting point and the foundation for every move forward you make is the Lord God Almighty.
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You for being with me, for never leaving me or forsaking me. Thank You for being my strength, my comfort and the One who leads me into all truth. Thank You for being my wraparound shield, my strong tower of refuge and strength — my very present help in times of trouble. Help me to discipline my mindset so firmly in You that every step I take is based in You — Your Word, Your instruction, Your ways. Be my strength, my guide, my rest and the One who brings me into every victory.
- Declare, So be made strong even in your weakness by lifting up your tired hands in prayer and worship. And strengthen your weak knees, for as you keep walking forward on God’s paths all your stumbling ways will be divinely healed!
— Hebrews 12:12-13 TPT - Decree, Christ is my firm foundation. He’ll never let me down. I will not lean on my own understanding. I will be guided forth by the eyes and the instruction of the Lord. He is my strength, my comfort, my rest, my refuge, my fortress, my protector, the One who refreshes me, and the One who brings me into every victory. I will remain in Him, and He will cause me to go from strength to strength and from glory to glory. All of my hope is in You Lord.
