Psalm 18
The earth itself shivered and shook. It reeled and rocked before him. As the mountains trembled, they melted away, for his anger was kindled on my behalf! Fierce flames leapt from his mouth, erupting with blazing, burning coals as smoke and fire encircled him. He stretched heaven’s curtain open and came to my defense. Swiftly he rode to earth as the stormy sky was lowered. He rode a chariot of thunderclouds amidst thick darkness; his steed was a cherub, soaring on outstretched wings of Spirit-Wind.
Psalms 18:7-10 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
You’re walking into atmospheric change. I Am changing the atmosphere. Your prayers have shifted the atmosphere. Your praises have charged the atmosphere. But I Am changing the atmosphere. I will roll in with My changes like a lightning storm in the dead of night. Those who know the ways and the moves of My Spirit will perceive it. But many will be caught off-guard and totally unawares.
Wrapped in the thick-cloud darkness, his thunder-tabernacle surrounded him. He hid himself in mystery-darkness; the dense rain clouds were his garments. Suddenly the brilliance of his presence broke through with lightning bolts and hail— a tempest dropping coals of fire. The Lord thundered; the great God above every god spoke with his thunder-voice from the sky. The Most High uttered his voice! He released his lightning-arrows, and routed my foes. See how they ran and scattered in fear!
Psalms 18:11-14 TPT
Times are changing. Power is shifting. And the atmosphere is electric with My power. Don’t think for one minute I’ve left you alone. It will look and feel like storm clouds have come against you, and indeed they have. My rain falls on the wicked and the just alike. But My Spirit is your life raft, and King Jesus is the solid rock on which you stand and to which you cling in the midst of the storm.
I Am charging the atmosphere with power, and the prince of the powers of the air will be put on notice in a fresh way. The lightning strikes of My Presence will illuminate what has been hidden in darkness, and none can control where or when or how My lightning strikes. But I Am lighting up the skies, and what has been hidden will be made plain.
Then with his mighty roar he laid bare the foundations of the earth, uncovering the secret source of the sea. The hidden depths of land and sea were exposed by the blast of his hot breath. He rescued me from the mighty waters and drew me to himself! Even though I was helpless in the hands of my hateful, strong enemy, you were good to deliver me. When I was at my weakest, my enemies attacked— but the Lord held on to me.
Psalms 18:15-18 TPT
The truth resonates in your spirit like a deep and low thunder roll. You feel it. You know it. You’re assured of it. Trust that assurance, that resonance of truth I have placed inside of you, and you won’t be caught off-guard. You won’t be led astray. The storm of My Presence is for illuminating what has been hidden in darkness. It is for putting the enemy on notice afresh, and it is to return to the faithful, the godly and the wise the home field advantage. The storm will shift the playing field in favor the what’s right.
How to Respond
- Meditate on the scriptures. Know the Word of God.
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You for leading me into all truth. Thank You for Your Presence and for the stability You are in my life, heart and mind. Help me to not react with anxiety or fear. Help me not to partner with the mainstream narrative when Your storm of atmospheric change rolls in. Help me to keep my eyes on King Jesus. Help me to cling to the life raft of Your Holy Presence. And help me to abide in Your perfect peace. Help me to trust the resonance of truth, so I will not be led astray.
- Declare, Good people will taste your goodness. And to those who are loyal to you, you love to prove that you are loyal and true. And for those who are purified, they find you always pure. But you’ll outwit the crooked and cunning with your craftiness. To the humble you bring heaven’s deliverance, but the proud and haughty you disregard.
— Psalms 18:25-27 TPT - Decree, The Lord is so good and faithful to warn us of the incoming storm of His Presence that will change the atmosphere and illuminate what has been hidden in the skies and deep below. I will not give in to fear or doubt. I will trust Holy Spirit and the Word of God as the Source of truth. I will trust the resonance in my spirit, and I will not be led astray. The storm will fall upon the good and the wicked alike, but the end result will be a great home field advantage for those in Christ Jesus.
