Today’s Reading:
John 14
John 15
Ephesians 3
So I kneel humbly in awe before the Father of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, the perfect Father of every father and child in heaven and on the earth. And I pray that he would unveil within you the unlimited riches of his glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with his divine might and explosive power. Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life. Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God!
Ephesians 3:14-19 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
I desire a people who have eyes for Me only, who have hearts whose longing is to be near Me continually and to go only where I go — those who desire to do My will as obedient children who love to please Me because of the joy of the communion that obedience in mutual love assures.
“Those who truly love me are those who obey my commands. Whoever passionately loves me will be passionately loved by my Father. And I will passionately love him in return to and will reveal myself to him.”
John 14:21 TPT
My will is not distant, otherworldly or hard to know. If you are tuned into My heart, My will actually is what’s on your heart. That’s how I designed it. That’s why I long for us to be one. That is why for My lovers I say, “do all that is in your heart.” Because when your heart is flooded with love and has been unified to Mine, knowing My will is not a mystery. And it does not require some arduous and prolonged multi-step program. It’s simply this. Come and adore Me. Worship Me. Stir up thanksgiving in your own heart. Stir up reminders of My faithfulness. Sing about it. Praise Me for it, and live from that overflow.
“I love each of you with the same love that the Father loves me. You must continually let my love nourish your hearts. If you keep my commands, you will live in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands, for I continually live nourished and empowered by his love. My purpose for telling you these things is so that the joy that I experience will fill your hearts with overflowing gladness!”
John 15:9-11 TPT
All you need to do to get into alignment with My will is prime the pump of your love for Me, submit your life and your desires to Me. Let go of the driver’s wheel, and say, “Lord I give you the right to direct my life.” And off we go. It’s not hard. It’s that simple. Just be in love with Me. Live in love with Me. The rest will follow, as it does, naturally.
How to Respond
- Stir up love and affection for the Lord.
- Remind yourself of His faithfulness, and offer Him praises of thanksgiving.
- Get your eyes off of your situation and yourself, and set your gaze unwaveringly on Him and on His goodness.
- Pray, Holy Spirit You are so good to me. I have no idea all that You have spared me from and all the ways you have protected my heart and preserved my life. Thank You Lord. You are worthy of all glory, honor and praise. Help me to remove my gaze from the obstacles and decisions in front of me, so I can set them firmly on You. As I do that, I know You will be faithful to move my perspective into alignment with Yours. You are so good to me.
- Declare, Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you. Now we offer up to God all the glorious praise that rises from every church in every generation through Jesus Christ—and all that will yet be manifest through time and eternity. Amen!
— Ephesians 3:20-21 TPT - Decree, I will set my eyes upon Jesus. I will not lead myself by my own understanding. I will be entwined as one with the Lord, and all of my decisions will be made plain in the light of His love. My main job in life is to love the Lord. When I prioritize that and do it well, all of the other work gets put into order. Then I can do all of the rest of it from the overflow of love rather than my own strength. The joy of living in communion with the Lord through my love for Him is what gives me strength.
