Psalm 119
For here is what the Lord has spoken to me: “Because you have delighted in me as my great lover, I will greatly protect you. I will set you in a high place, safe and secure before my face.

I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Trust and obey. My Spirit is clear, and My voice of instruction does not waver. As you trust and obey Me, you will perceive that I have put up guardrails around you, so you can walk safely and unobscured. I Am putting you on a clear, elevated and visible path. I Am doing this for a reason. I’m doing it for many reasons. But know one is that I want you on the high road. I have appointed for you to take the high road, and I have given you guard rails as you are faithful to walk it.
By considering your commands I have an edge over my enemies, for I take seriously everything you say.
Psalms 119:98 TPT
Like Nehemiah, I Am raising you to heights far above your enemies, so they cannot reach you. But you will hear their voices of mocking and accusation. And I expect you to respond as he did — by saying that you are doing an important work and you cannot come down to their level. This high road is protected, though at times it may feel isolating. Once you reach a certain point, that place you determine to be the point of no return, you will open your eyes wider and realize that I have many on their own elevated narrow paths just like yours. And you can talk together, encourage one another and develop war strategies up here in the third heaven, far out of the enemy’s reach. That’s what I want for you. That’s what I have for you, and that’s where I’ve positioned you to be.
Anyone who loves you and bows in obedience to your words will be my friend.
Psalms 119:63 TPT
So trust and obey, and just move forward. When it seems like clouds are covering your path, keep walking. You know that I have put solid, strong guard rails around you. So just keep moving forward. No matter what you hear from far below, keep moving forward. You will find there is much delight and joy, favor and grace up here on this elevated, protected path, as you trust and obey. Today is a day to move forward despite the cloud cover. Move forward.
How to Respond
- Trust the Lord fully and obey Him quickly and completely.
- Pray, Lord help me to recognize the path on which You have placed me. Help me to trust and obey Your voice no matter what it looks like from my perspective. Thank You for Your protection on this elevated path. I want to be doing what You have for me to be doing. I want to be moving forward as You instruct, and aligned only with the people You bring as partners.
- Declare, Don’t let them mock and scorn me for obeying you. For even if the princes and my leaders choose to criticize me, I will continue to serve you and walk in your plans for my life. Your commandments are my counselors; your Word is my light and delight!
— Psalms 119:22-24 TPT - Decree, The Word and instruction of the Lord are perfect. His grace and power are enduring, and He has set me on a high path, far above my enemies. He has positioned me for success and protection. I will do my job — which is to trust and obey Him fully and to keep moving forward regardless of whether I can see the path clearly.
