Today’s Reading:
Psalm 30
Psalm 37
We may weep through the night, but at daybreak it will turn into shouts of ecstatic joy.
Psalms 30:5b TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Joy comes in the morning. Weeping may last for a night, but joy comes in the morning. It’s morning, not mourning. It’s joy time now. The time for sadness has been folded up and put away. It’s time for bursting with delight. It’s time for fullness of joy — exuberant joy, boundless joy, inexpressible joy. Let it come forth. Don’t hold it back, and don’t withhold any word or sound of praise. It is time to rejoice. Your morning has come.
Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in his eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God, and you will dwell in the land, feasting on his faithfulness. Find your delight and true pleasure in Yahweh, and he will give you what you desire the most. Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way, you’ll find he pulled it off perfectly! He will appear as your righteousness, as sure as the dawning of a new day. He will manifest as your justice, as sure and strong as the noonday sun.
Psalms 37:3-6 TPT
Delight in Me, as I delight also in you. Take comfort and courage and shelter in Me. You may walk outside this morning and say, it’s too bright. It has been so dark for so long, but now the sun is so bright I can hardly see. Take shelter in Me even from the brightness of My goodness. It will take you time to adjust to the full measure, to the noonday experience of My goodness. Don’t hide from it, but take shelter in Me as you adjust to the brightness of the light of My goodness that I Am sending out into your new day. What’s old is passed, and this is new. Behold I make all things new, and the day for you is new. The way things go for you is new. The old hangups and the old potholes, the old continual low-level warfare even on good days is through. This is a new day where you can move forward uninhibited, where you can dwell and build and shine and rise and partner in My goodness. It is a new day.
Then he broke through and transformed all my wailing into a whirling dance of ecstatic praise! He has torn the veil and lifted from me the sad heaviness of mourning. He wrapped me in the glory-garments of gladness. How could I be silent when it’s time to praise you? Now my heart sings out, bursting with joy— a bliss inside that keeps me singing, “I can never thank you enough!”
Psalms 30:11-12 TPT
Don’t say it’s too much. Don’t say it’s too bright. Hold your tongue as you marvel and delight, and just breathe, worship, praise and allow yourself to adjust. You must be the one who adjusts to the new level and brightness and fullness of light I Am shining forth now into your life. Be holy, for I Am holy. Receive with the graciousness of a king, not as a pauper in desperation or as a broken one who cannot even take a compliment much less a gift. I Am pouring out blessings upon you beyond measure. I have said you are worthy. I have made you a king and priest unto Me. Receive what I bring with the graciousness and the recognition of your rank — and with the worthiness of a king. This is your time now.
How to Respond
- Stir up expectation and praise.
- Pray, Lord thank You that You are busy in my life. Thank You that You are turning my mourning into joy. Thank You that You are the one who makes all things new and all things beautiful in their time. You are worthy Lord. Help me to receive well. Help me to adjust to this new day well, and help me to hide myself in You, to delight in You and to give You all of the glory, honor and praise You are due.
- Declare, The faithful lovers of God will inherit the earth and enjoy every promise of God’s care, dwelling in peace forever.
— Psalms 37:29 TPT - Decree, The Lord has turned my mourning to joy. This is the morning where joy bursts forth in my life. This is the day where the Lord’s goodness is so bright and so overwhelming that I can’t take it all in at once. I may require a little time to adjust to this stark change from very dark darkness to very bright light. Regardless of the circumstance — I will hide myself in the Lord as I watch and adjust. I will receive the full measure of His goodness with the graciousness and confident assurance of a king. I will not shrink back from anything He wants to give me. I will not speak any word that might undermine what He is doing and bringing into my life. I will enjoy, praise, worship, live, dwell, build, shine and partner with the Lord in this new day and this new reality. Great is His faithfulness, and His love for me is beyond measure.
