Psalm 18
To the humble you bring heaven’s deliverance, but the proud and haughty you disregard. God, all at once you turned on a floodlight for me! You are the revelation-light in my darkness, and in your brightness I can see the path ahead. With you as my strength I can crush an enemy horde, advancing through every stronghold that stands in front of me.
Psalms 18:27-29 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
This is not a sidelines war. No war can be won on the sidelines. You must activate the troops. You must rally them to the cause. A threshold must be met of dissatisfaction, of disagreement of a clashing of worldviews. As it does, righteousness will arise. As the clash is magnified and amplified, as it grows the world will see it. It’s not enough to fight. You must make the fight known. The battle against dark forces, evil, witchcraft and domineering spirits must be a public one. Warring quietly will not get the job done. You operate in the opposite spirit. These spirits have been moving in secrecy, in darkness in hiddenness. The answer to that is exposure, truth, and light.
You empower me for victory with your wraparound presence. Your power within makes me strong to subdue. By stooping down in gentleness, you made me great! You’ve set me free, and now I’m standing complete, ready to fight some more!
Psalms 18:35-36 TPT
It’s time to amplify the fight. Turn the volume up in every way you can. Make it so the enemy has no way to hide, no plausible deniability, no way to back out of the decisions made in secret, the plans made under the cover of darkness and the ultimately the cash flows that financed the evil work from the start. Take the message, take the truth, take the evidence to the streets. Take it to the court of public opinion, and force the enemy to defend the indefensible. This is how this kind of war is won. Whatever the enemy does, you do the opposite. He lies. You always tell the truth. He conceals. You bring to the surface, you bring to light. He operates in secret. You operate in full view of the public. He fabricates numbers. You point to the verified data. This is your war strategy. Do not fight this in secret, from the sidelines or in the quiet. Make it loud. Get loud, and cause it all to be made known.
Their rebellion fades away as they come near; trembling in their strongholds, they come crawling out of their hideouts, cringing in fear before me.
Psalms 18:45 TPT
Public shaming of the enemy is appointed. Full exposure of the enemy is appointed. Draw the enemy out into the open, and he will have no place to go, no place to hide. This is a public war, and you will find many new warriors as you bring these matters into in the court of public opinion. Draw your lines in the sand, and watch the enemy squirm. They’ve got no place to go. They’ve got nothing righteous on which to stand. Their plans will fall. They will crumble. You stay in purity. You stay in truth. And you will see the walls that those lies, deceptions and dirty deals built crumble to the ground.
How to Respond
- Ask the Lord for a war strategy. Ask Him for your place in the war if you don’t already know what it is.
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You for leading me into all truth. Help me to be a warrior of light, purity and truth. I don’t want to say or do anything that would dishonor You. Teach me how to fight honorably, boldly and unapologetically.
- Declare, Through you I ascend to the highest peaks to stand strong and secure in you. You’ve trained me with the weapons of warfare-worship; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You empower me for victory with your wraparound presence. Your power within makes me strong to subdue. By stooping down in gentleness, you made me great!
— Psalms 18:33-35 TPT - Decree, The Lord is calling all warriors off of the sidelines. He is directing us into this fight. I will war in the spirit that is opposite to the enemy. I will war with a joyful heart, in truth, with integrity and honor. I will not be silenced or shamed. I will boldly speak the truth, and I will bring the truth into the streets and into the court of public opinion. The enemy will have no place to run or hide. The truth, the evidence trail and the dirty deals will all be made very public.
