Psalm 37
Don’t follow after the wicked ones or be jealous of their wealth. Don’t think for a moment they’re better off than you. They and their short-lived success will soon shrivel up and quickly fade away, like grass clippings in the hot sun. Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in his eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God, and you will dwell in the land, feasting on his faithfulness. Find your delight and true pleasure in Yahweh, and he will give you what you desire the most.
Psalms 37:1-4 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Magnificent erasure of benefits for the wicked. I will wipe out the wealth of the wicked in one sweep. In a single day. It will be a magnificent erasure of funding, of resources, of ammunition for evil plans, actions and causes. Can I do it? Surely I will wipe out the wealth of the wicked, the benefits of the wicked in just one day.
Quiet your heart in his presence and wait patiently for Yahweh. And don’t think for a moment that the wicked, in their prosperity, are better off than you. Stay away from anger and revenge. Keep envy far from you, for it only leads you into lies. For one day the wicked will be destroyed, but those who trust in the Lord will inherit the land.
Psalms 37:7-9 TPT
Watch as I pull that rug out from under them. Watch as all they have been standing on is yanked from beneath them, and its disappearance, its sudden removal causes them all to fall. Some may get back up, but their foundation will be gone, missing. They will have nothing upon which to stand. The hollow absence of what they built — the vacancy and cavity of a creation — hollow and soulless, dark and wicked will be openly exposed for all to see. No more illusions. No more allure. Just the naked truth, the rotten, infected reality will be there on display for all.
Just a little while longer and the ungodly will vanish; you will look for them in vain. But the humble of heart will inherit every promise and enjoy abundant peace. Let the wicked keep plotting against the godly with all their sneers and arrogant jeers. God laughs at the wicked and their plans, for he knows their day is coming! Evil ones take aim at the poor and helpless; they are ready to slaughter those who do right. But the Lord will turn all their weapons of wickedness back on themselves, piercing their pride-filled hearts until they are helpless.
Psalms 37:10-15 TPT
Networks will be abruptly severed. The connections will no longer flow. Wicked alliances will not only be exposed, but they will be crystallized and paralyzed in their final form for all to see. The time for hiding, subversion, shadowy deals and covert-ups is done — is over. Their deals, alliances and final posture will be frozen and memorialized for all to see. And this final posture will have a red thread that runs through every action, transaction and connection. The map will be made, but the connections will be severed. And the once powerful will be neutered — resourceless, frozen, exposed and utterly unable to hide. This is that time.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord thank You that You don’t let the wicked succeed forever. Thank You that You see all of their evil deeds, connections and plans, and You are wiping out their resources. You are cutting off their benefits and their supply. You are rendering them unable to hide from what they built and unable to disguise the networks of people and connections that empowered and enabled them. You are even exposing the thread that shows the full picture and timeline of what they have done. Lord, judge the wicked.
- Declare, So don’t be impatient for Yahweh to act; keep moving forward steadily in his ways, and he will exalt you to possess the land. You’ll watch with your own eyes and see the wicked lose everything.
— Psalms 37:34 TPT - Decree, I will not see the righteous forsaken or the children wanting bread. The Lord is rising up, and He is judging evil. I will see with my own eyes as He cuts off the benefits and supply of the wicked. He is upending them from their very foundations. He is exposing their networks, actions and causes, and He will leave nothing hidden. Their legacies will be crystallized in the final posture they take after they are hit suddenly by the Lord’s wiping out of their resources as well as His exposure and judgement.
