Psalm 18
I love you, Yahweh, and I’m bonded to you, my strength! Yahweh, you’re the bedrock beneath my feet, my faith-fortress, my wonderful deliverer, my God, my rock of rescue where none can reach me. You’re the shield around me, the mighty power that saves me, and my high place.
Psalms 18:1-2 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Great change has come knocking. It is a strong knock on a heavy but well-working door, and it will open. Let in the change. This change will bring light to a place that has been quite a fortress. It will bring in fresh light, a flood of light and fresh air. It will bring in a gentle breeze of spring.
And so Yahweh has rewarded me according to my righteousness, because I kept my heart clean before his eyes. Good people will taste your goodness. And to those who are loyal to you, you love to prove that you are loyal and true. And for those who are purified, they find you always pure. But you’ll outwit the crooked and cunning with your craftiness.
Psalms 18:24-26 TPT
Happiness, laughter and delight will burst forth from the opening of this dark, heavy, fortified door. When you answer, when you open it, you will be met with a flood of light and a new breeze of fresh air that changes everything. It will change everything. Grace is here for great change, and a powerful great change has come. It is big enough to knock and be heard at this fortified door of yours that has remained locked for a long time. But change has come knocking, and it’s up to you to open the door, to let it in and to receive the change with open arms and great joy.
God, all at once you turned on a floodlight for me! You are the revelation-light in my darkness, and in your brightness I can see the path ahead.
Psalms 18:28 TPT
This is the springtime of My great favor. Open the door when change comes knocking. It is for your good, your benefit and your delight. Don’t cling to the way things are or the way things have been. It’s time to let change come in. Invite it in.
How to Respond
- Stir up expectation for change and good.
- Pray, Holy Spirit awaken my senses and discernment, so I am ready to receive the great change You are sending. I don’t want to hesitate to receive or question any good gift that is from You. Help me to clear the path in my own heart and mind now, so I am able to easily open the door when change comes knocking.
- Declare, All Yahweh’s promises have proven true. What a secure shelter for all those who turn to hide themselves in you, the wraparound God.
— Psalms 18:30 TPT - Decree, This is a time when the Lord is sending great personal change to me. I will do my part to clear the way in my heart and mind to receive the change when it comes knocking. I won’t hesitate or second guess what the Lord sends by His Spirit. I will fully receive the change upon which His favor and pleasure clearly rest.
