Today’s Reading:
Jeremiah 33
Song of Songs 2

“It will be to Me a name of joy, praise and glory before all the nations of the earth which will hear of all the good that I do for them, and they will fear and tremble because of all the good and all the peace that I make for it.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭33‬:‭9‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
I’m reviving My weary people, My weary inheritance with a song of joy and with showers of blessing that make the heart glad. This is a time of the joy songs. This is a time to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. The days of mourning, of weeping, of just scratching by have passed. They have ended. This is a time of flourishing. This is a season of abundant fruitfulness and of joyful singing. You have grown to accustomed to sadness. You have grown too comfortable with weeping, lack, failure and regret; but the sounds of spring are breaking out now. The signs of fruitfulness are bursting forth. And the song of joy is welling up in your heart.

Thus says the Lord, ‘Yet again there will be heard in this place, of which you say, “It is a waste, without man and without beast,” that is, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without beast, the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say, “Give thanks to the Lord of hosts, For the Lord is good, For His lovingkindness is everlasting”; and of those who bring a thank offering into the house of the Lord. For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were at first,’ says the Lord.
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭33‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Do not quiet or put out that song of joy just because it’s unfamiliar. Do not put out that song of joy because of fear, because you have given up on hope, because you are paralyzed by the belief that recognition of joy will cause the other shoe to drop. No! This is the real deal. This is the time of laughter, joy and celebration for My people, My weary inheritance. I Am reviving. I Am refreshing. I Am restoring, and I Am pouring out the blessed showers of Heaven so beautifully that your eyes and mind will have difficulty comprehending your change of circumstance, the change of the order of things in your life. Swing wide the doors and windows of your storehouses, because I Am ready to stuff them full with blessing.

Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘There will again be in this place which is waste, without man or beast, and in all its cities, a habitation of shepherds who rest their flocks. In the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, in the cities of the Negev, in the land of Benjamin, in the environs of Jerusalem and in the cities of Judah, the flocks will again pass under the hands of the one who numbers them,’ says the Lord.
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭33‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

The days of just coming up short, showing up second and not having enough to prosper are done. This is a time of blessing and prosperity, and I Am taking you now into a place of stewardship. You will go from treading water to wise management. I’m bringing you into a time, a place and situation where you will now be put to the test of stewardship. The same voice and the same Spirit who led you through the wilderness will guide you in the Promised Land. Your responsibility is the same. Seek, hear and obey. It’s simple. The flesh and human understanding must be put down in this place in order to manage the prosperity, cultivate the prosperity and grow the blessings of prosperity I Am pouring out. This is a new time and a new testing season. And this season is marked by joy. Fan that flame of joy. Don’t snuff it out.

How to Respond

  • Partner with joy and make it visible in your life wherever you go. Sing joyful songs and play music that fans the flames of joy in your heart
  • Pray, Holy Spirit thank You for leading me out of the wilderness. Thank You for trusting me enough to bring me into a time where the new test will be the test of prosperity and stewardship. Help me to take my lessons of following You from the wilderness and remain that disciplined here. Help me to adapt well to these new joyful circumstances that You are bringing, and to live as not only a good steward but as a well-loved child of the King.
  • Declare, The season has changed, the bondage of [my] barren winter has ended, and the season of hiding is over and gone. The rains have soaked the earth and left it bright with blossoming flowers. The season for singing and pruning the vines has arrived. I hear the cooing of doves in our land, filling the air with songs to awaken [me] and guide [me] forth.
    ‭‭- adapted from Song of Songs‬ ‭2‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭TPT‬‬
  • Decree, I will embrace and delight in the song of joy the Lord has put in my heart. I will sing, celebrate and rejoice. The wilderness season of lack is done, and the Lord is pouring out refreshing and blessing. I will stay closer to Him than ever. And I will be a good steward by seeking His face, hearing His voice and obeying the words of His instruction. My God is a good God. He is the only one who is absolutely and completely good. I will relish in and celebrate His goodness.
