Today’s Reading:
Psalm 25
Psalm 27
Psalm 37
1 Corinthians 3

Who is Apollos, really? Or who is Paul? Aren’t we both just servants through whom you believed our message? Aren’t each of us doing the ministry the Lord has assigned to us? I planted the church, and Apollos came and cared for it, but it was God who caused it to grow.
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭TPT‬‬

I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
A hand-off is coming, as in a a relay race. And the one who picks up the baton, the one to whom that baton is given will be able to carry it forward for a maximized return. The one who has been carrying it has taken it as far as it can go, and now by My Spirit’s guiding, the baton will be put into your hand, and you will supernaturally know how to run well with it to squeeze out and to achieve a maximized return.

This means the one who plants is not anybody special, nor the one who waters, for God is the one who brings the supernatural growth. Now, the one who plants and the one who waters are equally important and on the same team, but each will be rewarded for his own work.
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭TPT‬‬

This is just like the parable of one watering and one sowing and yet another reaping. I have used each step, each leg of this race to accomplish My purposes in the earth, in the people who have held the baton, in those who have watched the race or been involved in the race in some way. This leg is not different. The one who brings it across the finish line for the maximized return will not be wholly responsible for the victory in this race and for the maximized return that was made. But they will be the one holding the baton at the finish line. They will be the one most celebrated — and rightfully so, because the end of a thing is better than the beginning. I have made it this way. I have designed it this way.

Who are they that live in the holy fear of Yahweh? You will show them the right path to take. Then prosperity and favor will be their portion, and their descendants will inherit the earth.
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭25‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Fresh runners are being positioned into ongoing races, and I Am the God of the hand-off. I Am the one who is ensuring that batons go from one runner to the next. It is to bring great works to completion and other great works to fulfillment. It’s all for My glory and to accomplish My purposes in the earth. This is a time of forward movement, of great advancement and of newfound purpose in your hand. Seek Me first, and run at the direction and guiding of My Spirit. I will lead you forth and give you wisdom for delivering it to the finish line with a maximized return. Mantles are changing and shifting. New assignments are being given. And you may not carry something from beginning to end. You may be required to let go. You may be required to pick up something entirely different where someone else left off. But the purposes I designed for this time are being rearranged and put into different hands for different reasons — because it’s time to get them across the finish line in glory, in finality, in fulfillment and completion — with a maximized return.

Yahweh is my revelation-light and the source of my salvation. I fear no one! I’ll never turn back and run, for you, Yahweh, surround and protect me.
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27‬:‭1‬ ‭TPT‬‬

If I drop a baton in your hand, your assignment is to run with it. And seek Me in how to carry it so well that you deliver it to the finish line with a maximized return. If My Spirit compels you to pass your baton on to someone else, do not mourn it. It simply means that your leg of that particular race is through. Cheer for them, refresh yourself in Me, regroup and watch as I position you for something new. As much as this is a new day and a new season, this is a time to celebrate endings, completion, fulfillment and finality. And I’m instructing you to get there — to the end of the thing with a maximized return.

How to Respond

  • Be willing to let go of something you have held tightly, and allow someone else to take it forward if the Lord instructs you to so. Keep your hand at the ready to pick up something new to you — a new purpose, a new assignment knowing that the Lord will supernaturally equip you with everything you need to get it across the finish line with a maximized return.
  • Pray, Lord, give me an awareness and understanding of the place in time You have me. Help me to know if I am to let go of something and pass it on to another, or if I am to ready myself to pick up something new and run with it. I don’t want to hold on to any old assignment longer than You instruct, and I want to be ready to run with something new to me when You put it in my hand. Help me to not be overly sentimental on one hand or intimidated on the other. Help me to be ready, clear and quickly obedient.
  • Declare, Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in his eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God, and you will dwell in the land, feasting on his faithfulness. Find your delight and true pleasure in Yahweh, and he will give you what you desire the most. Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way, you’ll find he pulled it off perfectly!
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37‬:‭3‬-‭5‬ ‭TPT‬‬
  • Decree, I trust the Lord, and I will move and position myself for change. I will be ready to release what I am carrying into the hands of another if the Lord so instructs, and I will be ready to grab ahold of something new that someone else has carried a significant distance if the Lord puts it in my hand. I will not cling to the past or be fearful of the future. I will simply trust, obey and run forward at the instruction of the Lord whose purposes, ways and plans are always perfect and always for my good. I trust Him because He loves me, and I will readily and fully celebrate the endings, fulfillments and completions that happen this time.
