Today’s Reading:
Matthew 11
1 Peter 5
Hebrews 12

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬-‭29 MSG‬‬

I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
This is not all on you to carry. Let go, and let Me be your burden bearer. Life is fleeting. Why live under such a heavy burden and strain? Let go, and let Me carry all of these things. Let go, so you can live lightly, so you can live freely, so you can enjoy My breeze on your skin and be moved by the impulses of My Spirit. I did not make you to be a beast of burden. I made you to be agile, nimble and free. So be free. Don’t hold on so tightly. Let go, and let Me bear your burdens. It’s not heavy for Me. It’s not hard for Me. Carrying its weight is nearly imperceptible for My strength, but it is crushing you. It is slowing your progress and exhausting your energy and resources.

“Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭‭30‬ ‭MSG‬‬

This is a renewal station. Roll that burden off of your shoulders, and I will pick it up. I need you energized. I need you invigorated. I need you sharp, nimble and ready to run. This is a time where I’m putting you on a straight path to run. I will send out pacers with you. These are accelerating angels. They will drive you by My wind, and they will guide and manage your acceleration. You can’t run this race with that burden you are bearing. You have everything you need to run it. You are fully equipped. But the weight you are carrying puts you at a great disadvantage. Roll it off, and run light.

So be content with who you are, and don’t put on airs. God’s strong hand is on you; he’ll promote you at the right time. Live carefree before God; he is most careful with you.
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭MSG‬‬

When I asked the Lord what burdens I am carrying, I heard Him say,
It’s the weight of past expectations. It’s the weight of what others see and hear and think and say. It’s the weight of timeline pressure and the pre-made boxes of what success looks like. This is all unmanageable to carry in a foot race. Let it go. Some of it needs to be discarded completely. Some of it I will not forget or let fall, and I will carry it for you. Don’t you think I know well the desires of your heart? I will not let them fall to the ground. But you have made them a heavy burden on your back. Hand them to me. I want you to carry nothing on your back. I want you nimble, light and free, so you can run with the wind of My Spirit at your back and with My acceleration angels managing your pace and path. It’s time to let go and run free.

How to Respond

  • Ask the Lord to show you what burdens you are carrying that need to be dropped completely and which need to be turned over to Him. Release them from your shoulders. Drop them all. He will catch the important ones.
  • Pray, Holy Spirit thank You for leading me into all truth. Thank You for Your correction, because it frees me. The truth sets me free. I don’t want to carry these burdens anymore. Some of them I didn’t even realize I was carrying. I want to run freely. I want to be light, so I can move with the impulses of Your Spirit. And I want to be positioned for that great acceleration.
  • Declare, Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we’d better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭MSG‬‬
  • Decree, I roll the burdens I am carrying off of my back and let them all fall to the ground. The Lord will catch the ones that matter. He will not let a single one of those fall. I will be light and free. I am strengthening myself in the Lord. I am at the renewal station He has provided, and I will be well able and properly outfitted to run and accelerate as His Spirit and His acceleration angels lead me out on the path He has for me.
