Psalm 18
When I was at my weakest, my enemies attacked— but the Lord held on to me. His love broke open the way, and he brought me into a beautiful, broad place. He rescued me—because his delight is in me! He rewarded me for doing what’s right and staying pure. I will follow his commands and I’ll not sin by ceasing to follow him, no matter what. For I’ve kept my eyes focused on his righteous words, and I’ve obeyed everything that he’s told me to do.
Psalms 18:18-22 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God of all truth say,
Trust My guiding. Trust My drawing. I’m leading you into a new place where you have never gone before. I’m putting you out front to fill a need, to fill a gap, to preempt what is missing. I’m guiding you to a wide open space that you get to define, whose boundaries you will draw and whose entrants you will determine. You will appoint those who will help you keep My sheep. I will draw you to trustworthy ones, ones who delight in Me, who seek Me, whose heart is for Me — to help you keep My sheep.
God, all at once you turned on a floodlight for me! You are the revelation-light in my darkness, and in your brightness I can see the path ahead. With you as my strength I can crush an enemy horde, advancing through every stronghold that stands in front of me.
Psalms 18:28-29 TPT
Times are changing. Structures and constructs and perspectives are changing. You will witness vast swings in worldviews, and a lot of what is taking place and is yet to come will cause a great disorientation, will cause a widespread feeling of unsettledness and confusion. Many will get into fear and anxiety. But I Am positioning you and calling you now to build something that will be a refuge, an anchor, a place of great stability and encouragement in the midst of turmoil. The war is not over yet. But we have entered a new phase of battle. Resources are changing, and they will shift hands. Strategies and positions will have to change too, to see victory in this war. I have already won, but You will have to shift to experience battle victories in the here and now. You must keep seeking Me. You must keep your ear on my chest to know how to proceed in each phase of battle, how to correctly discern and view each enemy that I call you to confront.
Yahweh, what a perfect God you are! All Yahweh’s promises have proven true. What a secure shelter for all those who turn to hide themselves in you, the wraparound God. Could there be any other god like Yahweh? For there is not a more secure foundation than you. God, you have wrapped me in power and made my way perfect. Through you I ascend to the highest peaks to stand strong and secure in you.
Psalms 18:30-33 TPT
The war you are entering, the battle space you are entering is far more complex than the one you have known. It’s not that the complexities were not there before, but you did not have the grace to see the layers, modalities and vectors of attack. I Am preparing you and giving you grace to see the multifaceted war that you have been in and continue to move forward in now. I will give you insight beyond what you could have ever conceived. I will give you words and simple tactics that shut down enemy attacks. The key is to stay close to Me and to seek Me at every step. This war may not be an easy one. But every instruction I give you will be clear, straightforward and simple. And if you apply them, as you enact them, you will overcome. You will win.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord, thank You that You are bringing me into a new place of my own with new responsibility to care for Your sheep. Impart to me the grace and wisdom I need to build, to lead, to align with the right people and to create the place of refuge, community, learning and encouragement You have put in my heart to build.
- Declare, You’ve trained me with the weapons of warfare-worship; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You empower me for victory with your wraparound presence. Your power within makes me strong to subdue. By stooping down in gentleness, you made me great! You’ve set me free, and now I’m standing complete, ready to fight some more!
Psalms 18:34-36 TPT - Decree, I will move forward as the Lord guides me. His grace will help me to adjust and change, so I can see the battle space as I have never before been able to see it. He will give me assignments, strategies and words to speak to shut down the plans of the enemy. I will seek Him to build what He has put on my heart, to align with His people who share this vision, and to care for His sheep in this wide-open spacious place that He has provided me.
