Psalm 40
The Lord is close to all whose hearts are crushed by pain, and he is always ready to restore the repentant one. Even when bad things happen to the good and godly ones, the Lord will save them and not let them be defeated by what they face.
Psalms 34:18-19 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
I’m moving to heal broken hearts and shattered hearts. Invite Me. Welcome Me, and I will come in with the light of life, the salt that pushes out infection and preserves, the oil that heals and anoints and the sweet, thick honey of My Presence. This I Am doing for broken and shattered hearts. This I Am doing to piece back together and restore My broken ones who have dipped into sorrow and not come up, those who have ignored, pushed down and whitewashed the shattering of their hearts which has led to them limping in the spirit and relating from a place of brokenness instead of fullness, wholeness and health.
Join me, everyone! Let’s praise the Lord together. Let’s make him famous! Let’s make his name glorious to all. Listen to my testimony: I cried to God in my distress and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears! Gaze upon him, join your life with his, and joy will come. Your faces will glisten with glory. You’ll never wear that shame-face again. When I had nothing, desperate and defeated, I cried out to the Lord and he heard me, bringing his miracle-deliverance when I needed it most. The angel of Yahweh stooped down to listen as I prayed, encircling me, empowering me, and showing me how to escape. He will do this for everyone who fears God.
Psalms 34:3-7 TPT
I Am healing hearts, restoring hearts and covering hearts with the sweet, thick reality of My Presence, because this is a time for triumph. And My triumphant ones will triumph, My healed ones, My restored ones, My whole ones will be positioned to receive from Me, will be able to connect with promise correctly, will be able to welcome and host My manifest Presence as I bring light, salt, oil and honey for others. I need you to be healed, so you can host and guide the healing power of My Presence for others. I need you to be whole, so you can receive and walk in promise, in restoration, in fulfillment, in success, in prosperity. To reign welll, I want you whole. You must be whole to reign with My heart, with My wisdom, with My love and compassion. Reigning in brokenness leads to problems of dependency and dysfunction. It comes from a good place, but it filters through brokenness. I need you whole so you can reign well, so you can receive what I have for you well, so you can handle the expansion of your territory, the expansion of your borders, and so you can walk in ownership, in dominion by My grace in partnership and in deep rooted connection with Me.
Drink deeply of the pleasures of this God. Experience for yourself the joyous mercies he gives to all who turn to hide themselves in him. Worship in awe and wonder, all you who’ve been made holy! For all who fear him will feast with plenty. Even the strong and the wealthy grow weak and hungry, but those who passionately pursue the Lord will never lack any good thing.
Psalms 34:8-10 TPT
Ask for the healing. Welcome the healing. Open yourself up to receive the full healing of your broken and shattered heart, and I will do so much than you can ask, think or imagine. I need your heart to be whole to move forward into this new season. I will drench you in My grace for all that I have called you to and more than you could imagine. It starts from the place of a whole, healed heart.
How to Respond
- Open yourself to the Lord. Be vulnerable and have no places that are off limits to His searching and healing light.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. Bring the light of your life to my broken and shattered heart. Pour out the salt that purifies, pulls out infection and preserves my life. Pour on Your oil of healing and great anointing over my heart. Drench my heart in the sweet, thick honey of Your Presence. Make my heart whole again, so I can serve You well and so I can prosper in all that You call me to do.
- Declare, A new song for a new day rises up in me every time I think about how he breaks through for me! Ecstatic praise pours out of my mouth until everyone hears how God has set me free. Many will see his miracles; they’ll stand in awe of God and fall in love with him! Blessing after blessing comes to those who love and trust the Lord. They will not fall away, for they refuse to listen to the lies of the proud. O Lord, our God, no one can compare with you. Such wonderful works and miracles are all found with you! And you think of us all the time with your countless expressions of love— far exceeding our expectations!
Psalms 40:3-5 TPT - Decree, I open my heart and my life to the Lord for examination, reviving, cleansing, anointing and healing. No places are off limits, and I will be made whole. This new wholeness is positioning me to receive the promises of the Lord, to walk in fulfillment and prosperity and to reign well with Him.
