Today’s Reading:
Psalm 34
Psalm 86
Join me, everyone! Let’s praise the Lord together. Let’s make him famous! Let’s make his name glorious to all. Listen to my testimony: I cried to God in my distress and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears! Gaze upon him, join your life with his, and joy will come. Your faces will glisten with glory. You’ll never wear that shame-face again.
Psalms 34:3-5 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Magnify My Name. Magnify My Name. As you lift My Name up, I will lift you up. As you exalt My Name, I will set your feet on a platform — because I can trust you to make it about Me and not about you. I can trust you to point people to the King of kings, the King of Glory, King Jesus and not make it about yourself and your personality. All of that is stripped away. It has been stripped away, and it is refined and further stripped away as you worship, as you praise, as you glorify My Name and exalt it, magnify it and revere it above all others and all else.
God, there’s no one like you; there’s no other god as famous as you. You outshine all others, and your miracles make it easy to know you.
Psalms 86:8 TPT
This is a time of exaltation. The exalting of My Name postures you in humility, and that is when you are positioned for greatness. Being positioned for greatness is not about eloquence or the right clothes. It’s about humility and exalting the Name of the Lord Most High. It is about pointing to and pursuing the Kingdom of God above all else. The culture tells you to reign over people — tells you that leadership is domination and personal exaltation. I tell you that humility and the exaltation and magnification of My Name above all else positions you to reign with Me —- not over people, but over powers, principalities, spiritual dark forces and wickedness in high places. Your reigning sets the atmosphere, it does not lord over men.
Lord Almighty, you are the one who created all the nations. Look at them—they’re all on their way! Yes, the day will come when they all will worship you and put your glory on display. You are the one and only God. What miracles! What wonders! What greatness belongs to you! Teach me more about you, how you work and how you move, so that I can walk onward in your truth until everything within me brings honor to your name.
Psalms 86:9-11 TPT
Your reigning with Me creates the conditions for freer movement of My Spirit, for hearts to be changed, for eyes to see and ears to open, for the stone facades to fall away from men’s hearts. Nothing about reigning with Me is forcing your will upon men, upon humanity. It is clearing the atmosphere for My Kingdom to come and My will to be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Reigning with Me clears the atmosphere, so free will can actually operate as demonic interference is silenced, subdued, pushed out, driven out and expelled. Lift My Name on High. Exalt and magnify My Name. It changes you. It changes the atmosphere. It changes everything. Worship is the key.
How to Respond
- Worship the Lord.
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty for the taking down of strongholds. Thank You for who You are and that You have fully equipped us for the time and purposes to which You have called us. Help me to learn to reign with You through worship, so many hearts are enabled to choose You.
- Declare, With all my heart and passion I will thank you, my God! I will give glory to your name, always and forever! You love me so much, and you have placed your greatness upon me. You rescued me from the deepest place of darkness, and you have delivered me from a certain death.
Psalms 86:12-13 TPT - Decree, Worshipping the Lord is vital. It positions me in humility and makes me an effective warrior for my King. Exaltation and magnification of the Name of the Lord silences the voice of the enemy, causes the enemy to flee and opens the hearts, ears and eyes of many to truly see the Lord. My worship is a weapon that lifts demonic oppression and opens free will in those around me.
