This is what Yahweh said to me: “When a lion, the great beast, growls over his prey, and when the shepherds band together against him, the lion is neither terrified by their shouts nor disturbed by all the noise they make. So will Yahweh, the Commander of Angel Armies, come down to fight for you on Mount Zion and on Zion’s hill! Just as a bird hovers over its nest to protect its young, so will Yahweh, Commander of Angel Armies, shield Jerusalem. He will protect her, deliver her, spare her, and rescue her!” “People of Israel! Repent and turn back to God, whom you have deeply betrayed. For a time is coming when all people will throw away their sinful idols of silver and gold and forsake all that their own hands have made. Assyria will fall by the sword but not the sword of man. It will not be man’s sword that will slaughter them, but God’s! They will run from battle, and their young men will be made slaves. Fear will cause them to surrender their high fortress, and they will panic at the sight of princes, and desert their battle flag,” says the Lord God, whose fire burns in Zion and whose furnace burns in Jerusalem!

I heard the Spirit of the Living Warrior God, the Commander of Angel Armies say,
Michael the Archangel is here to help. He is here to destroy. He is here to demolish ancient strongholds. As he demolishes these ancient strongholds — the fortifications, the enchantments that surround them will break, and scales will fall from people’s eyes. The work that Michael is doing, the destruction he is bringing to these very elevated, very high strongholds and fortifications will cause the demonic rights to be shattered, and entire regions will be freed from the bondage that once held them — many for centuries. Michael is diligently and ferociously at work demolishing strongholds that will set entire regions free. This is a new day of revelation. This is a new kind of revelation. I’m opening things up, and you will see that which you have never before been able to see.
As I pondered this and wondered about the significance of Michael the Archangel, the Lord reminded me that several years ago I’d gotten a book by Johnny and Elizabeth Enlow that outlines how the 7 Mountains of Influence each have an archangel assigned to them. I looked up what Michael’s assignment is - this is the excerpt from their book about his role in the Kingdom.
Look—a new era begins! A king will reign with righteousness, and his princes according to justice! A man will be a hiding place from the stormy wind and a secret shelter from the tempest. Life will flow from each one, like streams of water in the desert, like the refreshing shade of a massive rock in a weary, thirsty land. Then at last, eyes that are ready to see will finally be opened! Ears that are ready to hear will finally be opened! The hearts of those who were once hasty to form opinions will finally understand and know. And those with stammering tongues will speak dazzling truths!
Isaiah 32:1-4 TPT
Where we’re going, you have not been before. Don’t anticipate familiar terrain, because there is none. I Am taking you into the desert places where these fortifications and their enchantments have held regions captive, but the breaker has gone before you. The curse breaker, the enchantment breaker and the destroyer of these strongholds I sent before you. Your job is to operate freely in this place. It’s still a desert, but it is not bound. I Am calling you to carry freedom in this great vast desert place.
The desolation will not end until the Spirit is poured out upon us from heaven! Then the wilderness will blossom into a fruitful orchard and the trees of the orchard will grow into a forest! Then justice will reside in the wilderness and righteousness will dwell in the fruitful orchard. The work of righteousness is peace, and the result of righteousness is quietness and confidence forever. My people will live free from worry in secure homes and quiet resting places. No matter if hail destroys the forest and the city is leveled, you will be happy and blessed as you sow your seed beside every stream and loose your ox and donkey to graze freely.
Isaiah 32:15-20 TPT
Cause freedom, the spirit of freedom to be the banner over this vast wide desert land, and watch as I make this desert to bloom. Watch as I turn this wasteland into a field and the field into a forest. Watch as I bring streams into this dry and thirsty land where there has been no water. This is the place I Am drawing you out into with a mandate to build, to establish, to fortify and to set up a vigilant watch. These are days of many wonders. You will be a sign and a wonder as I bless your hands to build, as you build in this desert place where the curse is now broken. You are free and charged to build.
How to Respond
- Obey the Lord’s leading even if you can’t see where you’re going and you can’t make sense of it.
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You that You are the one who brings revelation. Thank You that You are sending Michael the Archangel out to destroy demonic strongholds before me. Thank You that the work that he is doing is breaking enchantments and setting entire regions free from what has blinded them, made them deaf and bound them. Help me to be quick to obey, to go and to build.
- Declare, The mighty Spirit of Lord Yahweh is wrapped around me because Yahweh has anointed me, as a messenger to preach good news to the poor. He sent me to heal the wounds of the brokenhearted, to tell captives, “You are free,” and to tell prisoners, “Be free from your darkness.” I am sent to announce a new season of Yahweh’s grace and a time of God’s recompense on his enemies, to comfort all who are in sorrow, to strengthen those crushed by despair who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful bouquet in the place of ashes, the oil of bliss instead of tears, and the mantle of joyous praise instead of the spirit of heaviness. Because of this, they will be known as Mighty Oaks of Righteousness, planted by Yahweh as a living display of his glory. They will restore ruins from long ago and rebuild what was long devastated. They will renew ruined cities and desolations of past generations. Foreigners will be appointed to shepherd your many flocks; strangers will cultivate your fields and tend your vines. But you will be known as Priests of Yahweh, and called Servants of our God. You will feast on the wealth of nations and revel in their riches! — Isaiah 61:1-6 TPT
- Decree, The Lord has sent the breaker and the destroyer before us to topple very high fortified strongholds and to break the curses and enchantments that bound entire regions. I will be faithful and obedient. I will go into this desert place where the Spirit of the Lord leads. I will build when it doesn’t make sense. And the Lord will cause this place to blossom. He will bring it to great fruitfulness and abundance. He will bless the work of my hands as I am obedient, as I go, and as I build.
