Today’s Reading:
Romans 8
Those who are motivated by the flesh only pursue what benefits themselves. But those who live by the impulses of the Holy Spirit are motivated to pursue spiritual realities. For the sense and reason of the flesh is death, but the mind-set controlled by the Spirit finds life and peace.
Romans 8:5-6 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Choices will dot the landscape of your life. Choices will seem to pop up, to appear and to bloom from out of nowhere. You will need to be very attuned to Me, My voice, My delight, My pleasure, My yes to get it right. These are not choices to make based on appearances. They are choices to be made by My Spirit. My Spirit can show you in the spirit what the potential of each of these choices is. My Spirit can give you assurance, can give you confirmation or can give you an understanding to slam a door and run for the hills.
In fact, the mind-set focused on the flesh fights God’s plan and refuses to submit to his direction, because it cannot! For no matter how hard they try, God finds no pleasure with those who are controlled by the flesh. But when the Spirit of Christ empowers your life, you are not dominated by the flesh but by the Spirit. And if you are not joined to the Spirit of the Anointed One, you are not of him.
Romans 8:7-9 TPT
Just as you would not just pick mushrooms in the forest without understanding their properties and whether they are meant to harm or can be safely eaten and enjoyed — so too you are not to just select from the sprouting choices that are coming to dot the landscape of your life. Consider these to be all questionable mushrooms. Consider them all — every single one of them — to require research, to require seeking My voice and My input. This will feel like a time of suddenly great, varied and many opportunities, many choices. It may feel like you are making these choices in a dark place without the light of revelation. But that is a lie. It may seem dark, but seek My voice. Seek My face. Seek My pleasure and delight, and you will get your revelation. You will get your guidance. You will get your very sturdy answer, and you don’t have to take one false step. You don’t have to make one wrong choice.
So then, beloved ones, the flesh has no claims on us at all, and we have no further obligation to live in obedience to it. For when you live controlled by the flesh, you are about to die. But if the life of the Spirit puts to death the corrupt ways of the flesh, we then taste his abundant life.
Romans 8:12-13 TPT
My Spirit is available and more than able to navigate you through it all. Think before responding. Choose to seek Me even in these super small choices that pop up, because even small choices can be deadly, can be detrimental, can set you in the wrong direction or put you on the wrong path.
This is a time to view every single choice as a possibly poisonous mushroom. Seek My wisdom. Seek My voice. Seek My guidance, and you will be able to choose only that which is good, worthy and for your benefit. The good is hidden amongst the bad in this time. You will need My wisdom and guiding to choose correctly, and with Me, you can get it right every time. I Am your Great Advantage.
How to Respond
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You for guiding me, for protecting me, for speaking directly and clearly to me. Help me to discern Your voice and follow Your guiding. Help me to remember to seek Your insight and revelation in this time of many choices. I don’t want to make reflexive choices based on appearances. I want to make them by the leading of Your Spirit.

- Decree, I will trust the Lord to guide me in this time of many decisions. I will seek His face, His wisdom and His pleasure to discern which opportunities and choices to make, which to leave behind and which to run from. The Lord has given me everything I need through access and connection to Holy Spirit to choose correctly every time.
