Today’s Reading:
Philippians 4
Isaiah 26
Romans 16
Psalm 34
“Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life, then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will guard your heart and mind through Jesus Christ. Keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising him always.”
Philippians 4:6-8 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Peace is a weapon, and it comes from rest. It comes from resting in Me, leaning on Me, being in absolute trust in Me — convinced and unshakeable trust that I Am who I say I Am, and I will do the things I said I will do. My nature, My ways and My Word are sure. They never change. The peace that passes all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. You don’t have to fear what is to come. You don’t have to be in dismay about bank accounts. Did I not feed Elijah by the ravens? I back up My servants. I stand behind and provide for those who boldly speak the truth to power. My love never fails. I don’t fail.
“Perfect, absolute peace surrounds those whose imaginations are consumed with you; they confidently trust in you. Yes, trust in the Lord Yahweh forever and ever! For Yah, the Lord God, is your Rock of Ages!”
Isaiah 26:3-4 TPT
Don’t clutch your to-do list so tightly. I might come with Divine interruptions. I might come with holy other assignments that lead you away from the pages you have written. And that’s okay. Life is more than your to-do list. It’s meant to be filled with fun, adventure and wide-open spaces. It’s meant to take you places and introduce you to people who can turn your world upside down for good in an instant. Loosen your grip on the to-do list. Partner with Me in the faith-rest life. Walk forward with Me at ease, in perfect peace. And you will watch as I use My peace to pound and crush Satan under your feet — under your assignment, your mission.
“I’m so happy when I think of you, because everyone knows the testimony of your deep commitment of faith. So I want you to become scholars of all that is good and beautiful, and stay pure and innocent when it comes to evil. And the God of peace will swiftly pound Satan to a pulp under your feet! And the wonderful favor of our Lord Jesus will surround you.”
Romans 16:19-20 TPT
The weight of your mission, the power of the mission and your obedience to the mission I’ve given you will be the implement with which My peace destroys the enemy’s works in your life. Can you see the partnership there? My peace is the destructive agent of the works and plans of the enemy. Your mission, your obedience is the destroying force. As you walk out your mission in My perfect peace, the plans of the enemy will be crushed. Fear does not get you that. Fear is the fuel on the enemy’s fire. Peace snuffs out his flames. Walk in peace. Stay in peace, and see how well life works, how much your life thrives. Fear gets what it hopes for. And peace protects a nation.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord thank You for Your perfect peace. Thank You that it is available to me at all times. Help me to remain in Your peace, to rest in Your peace and to trust You fully — come what may. Help me to put down the to-do list and accept Your Divine interruptions when they come. I don’t want to miss out on anything You have for me.
- Declare, “Even the strong and the wealthy grow weak and hungry, but those who passionately pursue the Lord will never lack any good thing.”
Psalms 34:10 TPT - Decree, I trust in the Lord. He is my shelter, my shield, my tower of refuge and strength. He’s my defender. He goes behind me, before me and He’s my wraparound shield. He’s put angels on assignment to protect me. Whom or what shall I fear? I will be in the perfect peace of the Lord — and through that peace, the Lord will crush the enemy under my feet.
