Today’s Reading:
John 8
John 16
Isaiah 57
“But when the truth-giving Spirit comes, he will unveil the reality of every truth within you. He won’t speak on his own, but only what he hears from the Father, and he will reveal prophetically to you what is to come. He will glorify me on the earth, for he will receive from me what is mine and reveal it to you. Everything that belongs to the Father belongs to me—that’s why I say that the Divine Encourager will receive what is mine and reveal it to you.”
John 16:13-15 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Truth is sparkling like a glistening, light-emitting diamond in the darkness. In the midst of the darkness, you can see her, and you know that she is there, undisturbed in the midst of it all. Neither her existence nor her future are threatened or even disrupted by the chaos, mayhem and despair. She simply is there in the midst of it all, in perfect unbothered peace.
I offer peace to those who are far from me, and I offer peace to those who are near, and I will heal their deepest wounds,” says Yahweh. “But the wicked are like the storm-tossed sea, whose restless waves are never still, stirring up mud and mire. There is no peace for the wicked,” says my God.
Isaiah 57:19-21 TPT
This is the reality of truth. It is undisturbed and unbothered by the chaos agents, the distractions and muddy waves tossed up by those who oppose her, who seek to destroy her and whose singular pursuit is to detract from her and bring all attention to another matter, any other matter. But truth is not bothered by this. She has existed from eternity past, and her purity and form are lovely, pleasing and resonant. What she speaks may offend. What she speaks may disturb. What she speaks may cause people to shrink back in disgust or rise up in righteous rage. But whatever she speaks is truth. She is immovable as a pillar expertly set in a firm foundation. Come what may, she shall not be moved.
Then Jesus said, “I am light to the world, and those who embrace me will experience life-giving light, and they will never walk in darkness.”
John 8:12 TPT
Great grace is here for those who heed her voice, who seek her words, who write her stories. Truth is a lifeline provision in this time. So much is false. So much is narrative. So much is chatter, distraction and lies. But the truth will remain in tune, as steady and unshakeable as a drumbeat. You will recognize truth by its patient, insistent consistency. That is the truth.
How to Respond
- Pray, Jesus, thank You that You are the way, the truth and the life. Thank You for making a way for truth when there has seemed to be no way. Thank You that truth is shining in the darkness and is not being overcome or shaken by it. Lord, cause the truth to shine brighter and brighter, and help me to be one who seeks and writes and speaks her words.
- Declare, For if you embrace the truth, it will release true freedom into your lives.
John 8:32 TPT - Decree, I will not be rattled or distracted by the chaos and the noise. I will keep my eyes on Jesus and seek Him for what is true. I will not partner with fear, doubt, anxiety or trouble. I will listen for the steady, insistent consistent drumbeat of truth. I will treasure the truth, speak only words of truth and celebrate the revelation and the voice of truth.
