Psalm 18
I love you, Yahweh, and I’m bonded to you, my strength! Yahweh, you’re the bedrock beneath my feet, my faith-fortress, my wonderful deliverer, my God, my rock of rescue where none can reach me. You’re the shield around me, the mighty power that saves me, and my high place. All I need to do is to call on you, Yahweh, the praiseworthy God. When I do, I’m safe and sound in you— delivered from my foes!
Psalms 18:1-3 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living, One True God say,
Anxiety is ceasing. It is being chased away by a deep abiding trust that won’t be shaken, that refuses to be shaken, that stands firmly and resiliently in the high winds of change. You are learning to abide. Instead of feeling like you are being dragged across the waters at high speed on bumpy waves, hanging onto a wake board for dear life — now you stand, and you emit My peace that passes all understanding. You are like a diffuser of peace, releasing peace just with your presence, because you trust in Me. You trust Me to do what I said I would do. I can do something with this. With an anchored heart and feet that are firmly set upon the solid Rock of Christ the King, I can do something with that.
Good people will taste your goodness. And to those who are loyal to you, you love to prove that you are loyal and true.
Psalms 18:25 TPT
The testing and the refining and the fire, the wild gaps in the bridges you’ve gone across — all have been to strengthen you and to reveal to you what you’re made of. I made you resilient. I made you with the ability to stand. The question was, would you? Would you choose to stand? Would you decide to be unmoved? Would faithfulness be your course? And now we both know that you’re not going anywhere unless I go. I can do something with that. I can do plenty with that.
His love broke open the way, and he brought me into a beautiful, broad place. He rescued me—because his delight is in me! He rewarded me for doing what’s right and staying pure. I will follow his commands and I’ll not sin by ceasing to follow him, no matter what. For I’ve kept my eyes focused on his righteous words, and I’ve obeyed everything that he’s told me to do. I’ve been blameless before him and followed all his ways, keeping my heart pure. And so Yahweh has rewarded me according to my righteousness, because I kept my heart clean before his eyes.
Psalms 18:19-24 TPT
Now are days to soar. It’s time to lift off from this place that I have held you, this protected place, this concentrated place, this extraordinary testing place. It’s time to lift off and to soar. It’s time to take flight. It’s time for your dreams to be caught and made real in the air. It’s time for a replanting where you will not be root bound anymore. It’s time for that wide open spacious place for you to spread out in the physical. And it is time for lift off and total freedom in the heavenlies. This is a promotion that recognizes that you have stood and withstood, and when you did all you could do, you remained standing on My Word, on My promise, on My faithfulness. Now is a celebration of that and an ushering forward to a new day of promise, because great is My faithfulness to you.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord thank You for seeing me. Thank You for all of the testing You have permitted and directed in my life. It has made me a better person, and it’s brought me closer to You. Thank You that times of intense testing do not go on forever, but they give way to a new day and a new chapter. I am looking forward to seeing that new day, to being replanted in it and to soaring in it Lord.
- Declare, Yahweh, what a perfect God you are! All Yahweh’s promises have proven true. What a secure shelter for all those who turn to hide themselves in you, the wraparound God. Could there be any other god like Yahweh? For there is not a more secure foundation than you. God, you have wrapped me in power and made my way perfect. Through you I ascend to the highest peaks to stand strong and secure in you. You’ve trained me with the weapons of warfare-worship; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You empower me for victory with your wraparound presence. Your power within makes me strong to subdue. By stooping down in gentleness, you made me great! You’ve set me free, and now I’m standing complete, ready to fight some more! — Psalms 18:30-36 TPT
- Decree, This is the time of promotion for standing and withstanding in the intense testing and refining fire. This is a time that the Lord is releasing wings to soar, so dreams can be caught and made real in the air. And the Lord is doing a replanting that removes the barriers to fruitfulness and growth in my life. This is a new day of promise. Great is the faithfulness of the Lord to me.
