Today’s Reading:
Psalm 18

I love you, Yahweh, and I’m bonded to you, my strength! Yahweh, you’re the bedrock beneath my feet, my faith-fortress, my wonderful deliverer, my God, my rock of rescue where none can reach me. You’re the shield around me, the mighty power that saves me, and my high place. All I need to do is to call on you, Yahweh, the praiseworthy God. When I do, I’m safe and sound in you— delivered from my foes!
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭18‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭TPT‬‬

I heard the Spirit of the Living God who Reigns in Victory forever say,
Worship is the way to avoid the traps set by the enemy. You can miss the Devil’s snare as you worship through this month. Exalting My Name, keeping Me first and diligently choosing to exalt My Name and live in an attitude of praise will keep your heart pure, will keep your hands and your mouth from evil, will keep your feet from the snare.

You’ve trained me with the weapons of warfare-worship; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You empower me for victory with your wraparound presence. Your power within makes me strong to subdue. By stooping down in gentleness, you made me great! You’ve set me free, and now I’m standing complete, ready to fight some more!
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭18‬:‭34‬-‭36‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Worship is the way through this month. Worship is the way through the decisions, the circumstances, the conversations. Keep a close guard on your mouth. Keep a close guard on your eyes. Do not make any rash decisions, any hurried agreements or partnerships. Stay in the place of worship — in the attitude of worship and in the grace that comes from the place of worship. They will lead you forward through this month in purity and peace with no sorrow added to it. You can make it through without falling pray to a trap or getting tripped up by the enemy. My desire for you this month is to worship and overcome. Worship and choose that which is right, worthy and acceptable before Me. Worship will keep your heart aligned with Heaven even as the world and the offers that come bring shaking, confusion and temptation.

Yahweh, what a perfect God you are! All Yahweh’s promises have proven true. What a secure shelter for all those who turn to hide themselves in you, the wraparound God. Could there be any other god like Yahweh? For there is not a more secure foundation than you. God, you have wrapped me in power and made my way perfect. Through you I ascend to the highest peaks to stand strong and secure in you.
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭18‬:‭30‬-‭33‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Even as the time and the moment carry a temptation to return to the familiar, return to old mindsets and old approaches and may tempt you to agree with complaining and family discord or discord in the body of Christ, worship will carry you out of that place. Worship will keep your heart and mind and eyes and mouth properly aligned with Me, so you can overcome, so you don’t get stuck in a cycle that you cannot escape, so you don’t revert to former ways that left you in mixture, powerlessness and bitterness.

Yahweh lives! Praise is lifted high to the unshakable God! Towering over all, my Savior-God is worthy to be praised! Look how he pays back harm to all who harm me, subduing all who come against me. He rescues me from my enemies; he lifts me up high and keeps me out of reach, far from the grasp of my violent foe. So I thank you, Yahweh, with my praises! I will sing my song to the highest God, so all among the nations will hear me. You have given me, your king, great victories. You’ve always been tender and kind to me, your anointed one, your loving servant, David, and to all my descendants!
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭18‬:‭46‬-‭50‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Worship is the way up and the way out. Worship is the way to overcome all temptation to complain; all agreements that bring injury, deception and cycles of pain; and all returns to mixed belief systems about Jesus, about the Glory, about the Kingdom of God. I Am the One who can make every bitter thing sweet. I Am the One who empowers and enables you to overcome. Look to the month ahead with eyes of passionate fire for me, with a heart aflame and with steadfast determination to worship through every conversation, every temptation and every invitation that you receive. This will ensure you cross over in victory. Discipline in worship is the key to living victoriously this month.

How to Respond

  • Choose to worship at all times and in all circumstances. Keep the Lord and His goodness, His worthiness at the front of your mind.
  • Pray, Holy Spirit help me to recognize the snares, the traps, the temptations and the wrong alignments and agreements that come my way this month. Help me reject them and avoid them through unbroken fellowship with You, through continual worship and with a heart set on things above. Help me to overcome and live in total victory this month, destroying the cycles of pain that I have entered into in the past through a lack of discipline and an inability to recognize moments of temptation, wrong alignments and the traps the enemy set in my path.
  • Declare, His love broke open the way, and he brought me into a beautiful, broad place. He rescued me—because his delight is in me! He rewarded me for doing what’s right and staying pure. I will follow his commands and I’ll not sin by ceasing to follow him, no matter what. For I’ve kept my eyes focused on his righteous words, and I’ve obeyed everything that he’s told me to do. I’ve been blameless before him and followed all his ways, keeping my heart pure. And so Yahweh has rewarded me according to my righteousness, because I kept my heart clean before his eyes. — Psalms‬ ‭18‬:‭19‬-‭24‬ ‭TPT‬‬
  • Decree, I will walk in victory this month. I will achieve a level of overcoming that I have not previously been able to access. As I stay in worship, the Lord will cause me to rise above every challenge and refuse every wayward temptation or alignment. Success and victory are my portion, glory to glory is my portion as I remain disciplined in worship with my eyes fixed on the Lord of Hosts.
