Today’s Reading:
Psalm 116
Proverbs 3

Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go.
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭TPT‬‬

I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Your appointed path is straight. I have a laid it out in front of you. You don’t have to wonder, guess or change directions. Simply put one foot in front of the other, and be guided by the Son who is shining down brilliantly on your path. Be at perfect peace, and walk forward on the path I have set before you. Don’t wander to the right or to the left. But stay determinedly on the path I have set you on, and move straight ahead.

Don’t think for a moment that you know it all, for wisdom comes when you adore him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that’s wrong. Then you will find the healing refreshment your body and spirit long for.
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Don’t forget that rest is your portion. Don’t forget that joy immeasurable is your portion. Don’t forget that laugher and delight and lightness of heart are your portion. The road to get here has been fraught, but you have learned to war. You have learned the ways of the wilderness. Now I Am leading you on a pleasant path. Chaos may be on the outskirts of it, but you do not need to partner with chaos. Hostilities and ugliness may be on the surrounding places here and there, but you don’t need to partner with those either. I’ve placed your feet on a pleasant, beautiful, marked out, blessed path. Can you stay on it? Can you walk well on it? Can you let the external surrounding factors not influence your ability to stay on this beautiful path I’ve marked out for you? That is the new challenge — keeping your peace in chaos, enjoying the beauty that I have set before you, living in a place of fruitfulness instead of dryness — neither taking it for granted nor being overly enamored by it.

Glorify God with all your wealth, honoring him with your firstfruits, with every increase that comes to you. Then every dimension of your life will overflow with blessings from an uncontainable source of inner joy!
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭TPT‬‬

This is a place that looks, feels and sounds a lot different than the wilderness. The terrain is quite different from the wilderness. But the charge is the same. Stay close to My heart. Trust and obey. Delight yourself in Me. Entwine yourself as one with Me, and I will give you the desires of your heart. And I will keep your path straight.

This is the test of the new path and the new place. Walk well in it. Enjoy the change of scenery, the change of reality. Adjust accordingly. This is your new road.

How to Respond

  • Pray, Lord thank You that Your grace has moved me forward and set my feet on a new, straight, well-marked out, beautiful path. Thank You for being with me and for guiding me in the wilderness. And thank You that You are changing the scenery and the reality of the place You have me now. Help me to adjust accordingly. Help me to not lean on my own understanding. I want to trust, obey and rely on You here in this pleasant place just as much as I did in the dry and barren wilderness.
  • Declare, Now I can say to myself and to all, “Relax and rest, be confident and serene, for the Lord rewards fully those who simply trust in him.” God has rescued my soul from death’s fear and dried my eyes of many tears. He’s kept my feet firmly on his path and strengthened me so that I may please him and walk before Yahweh in his fields of life.
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭116‬:‭7‬-‭9‬ ‭TPT‬‬
  • Decree, The Lord has set my feet on a new beautiful and fruitful new path, and I will be diligent and faithful to walk on it. I will not stray from it. I will not get distracted by what surrounds it. I will not get drawn off of it by chaos, confusion or wars in which the Lord has not assigned me to battle. I will delight in the Lord, draw ever nearer to Him, and He will teach me and help me to adjust to this new terrain, this new reality and fruitfulness that I did not have to manage in the wilderness. This is a new test — of obedience, faithfulness, keeping my peace and stewardship. With the Lord’s help, I will succeed.
