Today’s Reading:
Psalm 90
Proverbs 3
Help us to remember that our days are numbered, and help us to interpret our lives correctly. Set your wisdom deeply in our hearts so that we may accept your correction. Return to us again, O God! How much longer will it take until you show us your abundant compassion? Let the sunrise of your love end our dark night. Break through our clouded dawn again! Only you can satisfy our hearts, filling us with songs of joy to the end of our days.
Psalms 90:12-14 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Grace abounds. Grace does much more abound. In places that have been marked by mistakes, miscalculations, misunderstanding, misreading and even that have been driven by your soulish desires — in those places that have led to failure, personal death and disappointment, grace does much more abound. I Am stirring up life in those places that have been marked by missteps, mistakes, failures and defeat. This cycle is breaking in your life. What the enemy meant to take you out, to drown you, defeat you, to cover you in shame and to connect you with evil and set you into a path of disobedience, I Am causing My grace to stir up new life in that place. I Am causing My grace to stir up healing and resurrection life in that place.
We’ve been overwhelmed with grief; come now and overwhelm us with gladness. Replace our years of trouble with decades of delight. Let us see your miracles again, and let the rising generation see the glorious wonders you’re famous for.
Psalms 90:15-16 TPT
The place that had been stagnant — where your pioneering led to a place of stagnation instead of fruitfulness, instead of life — I Am causing a tide where there was no tide. I Am causing a shift. I Am causing you to be connected to fresh streams that were previously not there, previously unseen. Where this place in your life felt stagnant and isolated, I Am opening up and bringing fresh streams of life that stir up fresh innovation, that stir up new community, that stir up sweetness where there had only been bitterness, murkiness and salt. I’m bringing fresh sweet waters of life to the place that was meant to take you out, that was meant to be your final defeat. The enemy will be embarrassed by the resurrection, by the life, by the fruitfulness and joy that comes forth from this place that he had labeled for you as condemned, as death and defeat.
O Lord our God, let your sweet beauty rest upon us. Come work with us, and then our works will endure; you will give us success in all we do.
Psalms 90:17 TPT
Watch your connections in this time. Watch who you give access to and listen to in this time. Don’t give access to anyone who would block your ability to discern or to hear My voice. Don’t give access to anyone who entertains evil and is not connected to the Source. Watch as My grace overtakes defeat in your life. What the enemy marked as final will not be your ultimate defeat. I Am stirring up resurrection, connection and fresh, sweet life. Stay connected to Me. Lean not on your own understanding. Refuse to partner with, identify with or agree with defeat. In this stagnant, isolated place, I Am bringing new life. Your portion, your identity will not be defeat.
How to Respond
- Commit to be connected to the Lord and refuse to entertain any voices that are not connected to Him as the Source in this time.
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You that You are the One who refreshes those who weary and languishing. Thank You that You are the Spirit of Resurrection, and that death, defeat and failure are never final with You. Bring fresh life, stir resurrection, new connections, health, fruitfulness and joy to the places in my life that look dead and defeated. Help me to hear your voice clearly and to discern what I am to do in each aspect of life that You are reviving.
- Declare, Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go. Don’t think for a moment that you know it all, for wisdom comes when you adore him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that’s wrong. Then you will find the healing refreshment your body and spirit long for.
Proverbs 3:5-8 TPT - Decree, the Lord is ever faithful. Even when failures, death and defeat come to my life through my own mistakes, lack of discernment, disobedience or misunderstanding, the Lord is my Redeemer. No failure, defeat or death is final with Him. He is stirring resurrection life, joy, fruitfulness, connection and sweetness in the places that the enemy meant to mark me for defeat. The enemy is the one who is forever defeated — not me.
