Today’s Reading:
Psalm 33
Psalm 90
Psalm 24
Psalm 65
The eyes of the Lord are upon even the weakest worshipers who love him— those who wait in hope and expectation for the strong, steady love of God.
Psalms 33:18 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
It’s a time to look with eyes of wonder. It’s a time to see things differently. Change is in the air. Supernatural change is in the air. Where the air has been cleared, where the way has been made for the Lord of Hosts, I will come. I love to delight the hearts of My children. I love to surprise them, fill them with joy and awe and wonder. That is what I Am doing this Christmas season.
Let the sunrise of your love end our dark night. Break through our clouded dawn again! Only you can satisfy our hearts, filling us with songs of joy to the end of our days. We’ve been overwhelmed with grief; come now and overwhelm us with gladness. Replace our years of trouble with decades of delight. Let us see your miracles again, and let the rising generation see the glorious wonders you’re famous for.
Psalms 90:14-16 TPT
Where you have felt desolate, dry, ground down and burnt out, I Am coming on the winds of supernatural change. I Am coming with gifts, surprises and fulfilling delight. I will restore and draw out that childlike wonder in you once again. What it seemed the locusts had stolen, what seemed to have dried up and blown away, what seemed to have died on the vine will be in some cases replaced, in some cases restored, in some cases revived. But in all cases — whether replaced or resurrected, you will be struck, surprised, in awe and gobsmacked. You will feel the thrill of hope in a way that has long shriveled and been inaccessible.
So wake up, you living gateways! Lift up your heads, you doorways of eternity! Welcome the King of Glory, for he is about to come through you. You ask, “Who is this King of Glory?” Yahweh, armed and ready for battle, Yahweh, invincible in every way! So wake up, you living gateways, and rejoice! Fling wide, you eternal doors! Here he comes; the King of Glory is ready to come in. You ask, “Who is this King of Glory?” He is Yahweh, armed and ready for battle, the Mighty One, the invincible commander of heaven’s hosts! Yes, he is the King of Glory! Pause in his presence
Psalms 24:7-10 TPT
I Am the thrill of hope. I Am the One who delivers, and it is My Presence that carries, restores and gives this thrill of hope. You will see hope restored this Christmas. You will see faith renewed this Christmas season. You will see gifts so unexpected from My hand that it will knock your socks off this season. I Am restoring the joy of Christmas. I Am reestablishing and releasing the thrill of hope back into your life in such a way that your soul can grab and hold onto it. This time is different. This time is very different.
How To Respond
- Sit in wonder like a child. Get your hope and expectations up, and invite the King of Glory, the Lord of Hosts to come. Prepare the way for Him with your praise.
- Pray, Holy Spirit help me. I’m not sure I even know how to get my hopes up any more. Thank You that You are the One who is breathing and blowing into my life the thrill of hope again. Restore my hope. Restore my joy. Come in and replace and resurrect all that has been lost, stolen and killed. Make this a Christmas season where wonder, laughter and joy is restored.
- Declare, ”How blessed is the one you choose to live near you in your courts. The beauty of your house, your holy temple, satisfies us. You answer our prayers with amazing wonders and with awe-inspiring displays of power. You are the righteous God who helps us like a father. Everyone everywhere looks to you, for you are the confidence of all the earth, even to the farthest islands of the sea. What jaw-dropping, astounding power is yours! You are the mountain maker who sets them all in place.“
Psalms 65:4-6 TPT - Decree, The Lord loves to delight and surprise His children. He is riding in on the winds of supernatural change, and He is restoring the thrill of hope in my heart and family. He is replacing and resurrecting what the enemy stole, killed and destroyed in my life. He is restoring laughter, joy and childlike wonder in places that have felt dry, barren, lifeless and forlorn. This time is different. This Christmas season will be very different.
