Psalm 84
Yahweh claims the world as his. Everything and everyone belong to him! He’s the one who pushed back oceans to let the dry ground appear, planting firm foundations for the earth.
Psalms 24:1-2 TPT
I heard in the Spirit this morning,
Trumpets are playing. Trumpets are playing. They are welcoming the procession of the King. They are heralding the arrival of the King of Glory. These are royal trumpets. They play with excellence, and they do not tire.
Who, then, is allowed to ascend the mountain of Yahweh? And who has the privilege of entering into God’s Holy Place? Those who are clean—whose works and ways are pure, whose hearts are true and sealed by the truth, those who never deceive, whose words are sure. They will receive Yahweh’s blessing and righteousness given by the Savior-God. They will stand before God, for they seek the pleasure of God’s face, the God of Jacob. Pause in his presence
Psalms 24:3-6 TPT
The procession of the king is moving nearer and nearer. Will you host His glory? Will you seek His face? Will you create an atmosphere that is charged with electric praise? The King is worthy. Oh the King is worthy of all glory, honor and praise. Will you host Him? Will you prepare the atmosphere for His arrival? The King of Glory is come. Draw near and worship. The King of Glory is come. Charge the atmosphere with your ceaseless praise, with thanksgiving, worship, honor and love. Sing His praises. Speak your testimonies. Tell of His goodness. The King is coming. The King is coming. Prepare the way. What will He find when His glory, His majesty, His honor and His Holy Presence arrive? Will He find a faithful remnant? Or will He find the multitudes?
So wake up, you living gateways! Lift up your heads, you doorways of eternity! Welcome the King of Glory, for he is about to come through you. You ask, “Who is this King of Glory?” Yahweh, armed and ready for battle, Yahweh, invincible in every way! So wake up, you living gateways, and rejoice! Fling wide, you eternal doors! Here he comes; the King of Glory is ready to come in. You ask, “Who is this King of Glory?” He is Yahweh, armed and ready for battle, the Mighty One, the invincible commander of heaven’s hosts! Yes, he is the King of Glory! Pause in his presence
Psalms 24:7-10 TPT
Sing His praises, and the faith in your voices will draw the prodigals home. The faith in your song — the honor and the glory that you give Him as a love offering to prepare the way for His glory will be what draws the prodigals home. And His banqueting table and His wedding party shall not be lacking, shall not have empty places yet to be filled when He arrives.
Sing of His glory. Prepare the way with praise. Watch as the prodigals respond. Prepare the arrival of His manifest presence, His great glory. Behold, the King is on His way. Take heart, the King is on His way.
How to Respond
- Reorder your day and your priorities to build up the way of the Lord with ceaseless praise.
- Stir up joy and affection, anticipation and expectation of the Lord’s Presence.
- Pray, Lord, show me Your glory. Come to where we are Lord. We bring You our gifts of highest praise. Help me to know how to respond. Help me to pave the way with praise. You are most welcome here Lord. We need You. We want You. You are the desire of our hearts and the desire of nations. Come Lord. Come.
- Declare, God, your wraparound presence is our defense. In your kindness look upon the faces of your anointed ones. For just one day of intimacy with you is like a thousand days of joy rolled into one! I’d rather stand at the threshold in front of the Gate Beautiful, ready to go in and worship my God, than to live my life without you in the most beautiful palace of the wicked.
— Psalms 84:9-10 TPT - Decree, I will prepare the atmosphere for the arrival of the King of Glory. I will sing songs of ceaseless praise to my King. I will watch as the praises of His people draw the prodigals home in time for His arrival. My King is so worthy. He is wonder working. He is the King of Glory, and He is on His way.
