Today’s Reading:
Song of Songs 2
James 2
1 Corinthians 9

The season has changed, the bondage of your barren winter has ended, and the season of hiding is over and gone. The rains have soaked the earth and left it bright with blossoming flowers. The season for singing and pruning the vines has arrived. I hear the cooing of doves in our land, filling the air with songs to awaken you and guide you forth. Can you not discern this new day of destiny breaking forth around you? The early signs of my purposes and plans are bursting forth. The budding vines of new life are now blooming everywhere.
‭‭Song of Songs‬ ‭2‬:‭11‬-‭13 TPT‬‬

I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
The season of your barren winter has ended. Behold I am doing a new thing. Can’t you perceive it? The signs of spring are cropping up everywhere — all around you.

The outfit of change is here. It’s time to take off the old garments and don new ones. It may be time to reassess how you’re wearing the ones that are still appropriate for this season. It’s time for a change in look. It’s time for a change in appearance. It’s time for a change in how you present yourself. Grace is here for change. And change will be thrust upon you. Work on your reflexes, because when I say catch and toss it your way, it will be time to catch what I’m throwing, sending and doing.

Can’t you see how his action cooperated with his faith and by his action faith found its full expression? So in this way the Scripture was fulfilled: Because Abraham believed God, his faith was exchanged for God’s righteousness. So he became known as the lover of God! So now it’s clear that a person is seen as righteous in God’s eyes not merely by faith alone, but by his works.
‭‭James (Jacob)‬ ‭2‬:‭22‬-‭24‬ ‭TPT‬‬

It’s a new season. It’s a new time. New clothes and new shoes will be required. You may don the old clothes and the old shoes in a new way. In some areas it may not be wholesale, complete change. In others it will be. Flex, move and respond to the impulses, promptings and directives of My Spirit; and you will be as you need to be to the people I put in front of you. As I made Paul so I have made you one who can be all things to all people, so the Gospel may be received. You are not a chameleon like the ministers who have been in fashion. Aspects of your heart and life can truly relate, can truly touch. Your relationship with King Jesus allows you and positions you to reach many, many varieties and types of people. I made you this way as a vessel for My service. I created you to reach many, and I will open the way for you to reach many. I will call you to be this way one day and another way the next. It’s not inconsistent. Your character and name are the same. Your heart is the same. It’s that your target will be different, so your approach will need to be different. This is what I Am doing in you and through you in this hour.

Now, even though I am free from obligations to others, I joyfully make myself a servant to all in order to win as many converts as possible. I became Jewish to the Jewish people in order to win them to the Messiah. I became like one under the law to gain the people who were stuck under the law, even though I myself am not under the law. And to those who are without the Jewish laws, I became like them, as one without the Jewish laws, in order to win them, although I’m not outside the law of God but under the law of Christ. I became “weak” to the weak to win the weak. I have adapted to the culture of every place I’ve gone so that I could more easily win people to Christ. I’ve done all this so that I would become God’s partner for the sake of the gospel.
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭19‬-‭23‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Don’t allow yourself to say, “Am I behaving as a basket case? Is this way and that way a mark that I am inconsistent?” I say no. That’s as far from the truth as you can get. You are moving with the impulses of My Spirit when you are not a robot, when you respond accordingly to the need that I place in front of you. This is the anointing of all things to all people. It looks different and it sounds different based on person, circumstance and need. Let Me lead you. Don’t assume you know it all — though I will put an innate knowing in your heart. It’s part of what you’d call instinct. But stay tuned in to Me. Stay tuned in to My heart. I will use you to set many free. I will use you to set many captives free.

How to Respond

  • Pray, Lord, have Your way in me. Help me to move by the impulses of Your Spirit and be who You call me to be, who You made me to be to whomever You put in front of me. Help me to live on mission with a my ears and heart open to You, so I can fulfill Your mandate of preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom and setting captives free.
  • Declare, Yet still, Yahweh, you are our Father. We are like clay and you are our Potter. Each one of us is the creative, artistic work of your hands.
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭64‬:‭8‬ ‭TPT‬‬
  • Decree, I will be all things to all people that the Lord puts in my path. I will be moved by the impulses of Spirit of the Lord, and I will reach the people He calls me to reach in the way He instructs. I will not make assumptions or live by a formula. I will not be stuck in one manner of operating and relating. I will be one whose reflexes are sharp, who can catch what the Lord is doing and who responds accordingly.
