Today’s Reading:
Psalm 66
Psalm 119
Philippians 2
Isaiah 49
I consider your Word to be my greatest treasure, and I treasure it in my heart to keep me from committing sin’s treason against you.
Psalms 119:11 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Remarkable times. You are living in the midst of remarkable times. I’m refining My instruments of war. I’m melting them down and reforging them for use. I’m removing impurities, completely reshaping them and plunging them into the cold finishing waters of My Spirit. When they have received this fresh, crisp baptism, they will be ready for use. They will be ready for war.
And consider the example that Jesus, the Anointed One, has set before us. Let his mindset become your motivation. He existed in the form of God, yet he gave no thought to seizing equality with God as his supreme prize. Instead he emptied himself of his outward glory by reducing himself to the form of a lowly servant. He became human! He humbled himself and became vulnerable, choosing to be revealed as a man and was obedient. He was a perfect example, even in his death—a criminal’s death by crucifixion! Because of that obedience, God exalted him and multiplied his greatness! He has now been given the greatest of all names!
Philippians 2:5-9 TPT
Some war implements I Am taking offline to retool, to melt down and rework completely. I Am refitting them for My new purposes, re-forging them and immersing them completely in My cleansing, refreshing and sharp, keenly awakening waters of My Spirit. This is a time of refining, retooling, total overhauling, re-working and finishing. This is not a long drawn out process like prior times. This is like a quick servicing, like an oil change, except you will come forth as a completely remade instrument of war, sharp, resilient and strong and newly fit for purpose by My hands.
We’ve passed through fire and flood, yet in the end you always bring us out better than we were before, saturated with your goodness.
Psalms 66:12 TPT
Don’t resist being temporarily taken out of service. Don’t resist the refining fire or the hammering, and it will be a quick work. If you submit, it will be like a 15 min oil change. If you resist, the process will necessarily take longer. How long, you ask? Submitting your will is the only way to speed the process. But I need you refined, retooled, reconstructed and baptized in the awakening of My Holy Spirit to be fit to return to war. You’ll find the dimension and shape and position I have given you shift and change with this refining, reworking and transformation process. It’s because I love you. I love you, so submit. Yield and be made new.
How to Respond
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You for re-working me. Help me to submit fully to Your hands, to be refined and reworked by the expert craftsman, to be plunged into the crisp, refreshing, awakening waters of You and to be ready to fight some more. Help me to recognize when You are taking me offline for a moment, so I don’t fight it. Help me yield to that so I don’t prolong the process.
- Declare, And He has made My mouth like a sharp sword; In the shadow of His hand He has hidden Me, And made Me a polished shaft; In His quiver He has hidden Me.” “And He said to me, ‘You are My servant, O Israel, In whom I will be glorified.’”
Isaiah 49:2-3 NKJV - Decree, Great is the Lord and worthy of all glory, honor and praise. He is the Creator of Heaven and Earth, and He hold all things together. I yield my will to You Lord, to do and will Your good pleasure. Have Your way in me, and help me to submit to Your refining and repurposing, so that I am strengthened, sharpened, awakened by Your Spirit and made freshly ready for war.
