Today’s Reading:
1 Corinthians 1
1 Corinthians 2

Brothers and sisters, consider who you were when God called you to salvation. Not many of you were wise scholars by human standards, nor were many of you in positions of power. Not many of you were considered the elite when you answered God’s call. But God chose those whom the world considers foolish to shame those who think they are wise, and God chose the puny and powerless to shame the high and mighty.
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭TPT‬‬

I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
New occasions are coming for My grace. Just as you have experienced My great, inexplicable grace on what I’ve called you to do and the work I have put in your hands, new grace, fresh grace is coming with a fresh outpouring of opportunity. My grace will meet you as you receive the opportunity, as you connect with the opportunity that I have also poured out for you as a gift and as an agent to draw out and to make to shine an aspect of your identity that has remained hidden, that has remained dormant and unused, untapped until this time.

He chose the lowly, the laughable in the world’s eyes—nobodies—so that he would shame the somebodies. For he chose what is regarded as insignificant in order to supersede what is regarded as prominent, so that there would be no place for prideful boasting in God’s presence.
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭28‬-‭29‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Don’t back away from this opportunity and even the multiple opportunities I Am sending to meet you on your path. Don’t shrink back from them because they are unfamiliar, because they look different than what you’ve done in the past, or because they seem too big, too daunting of a task. I Am drawing you in to something new. It requires trust, faith and a very good sense of humor. It takes humility to laugh at yourself, and you will see some trial and error. Even your trial and error will be exposed and seen by many. But isn’t that the beauty of humanity? Isn’t learning and trying again and persevering a beautiful thing? So much of social media, so much of what gets put forward is not the messy process, but the produced, filtered 15th take.

I’m calling you to be raw and real and vulnerable. I’m calling you to laugh, and live and enjoy the fullness of humanity without fear, without concern for what others think and without embarrassment. I’m doing a new thing.

For it is not from man that we draw our life but from God as we are being joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. And now he is our God-given wisdom, our virtue, our holiness, and our redemption. And this fulfills what is written: If anyone boasts, let him only boast in all that the Lord has done!
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭30‬-‭31‬ ‭TPT‬‬

I’m bringing new opportunities that won’t look intuitive. But your heart will leap, and you will know it’s from Me. Because of your tendency to shy away from these kinds of things, I’m telling you now, My great, generous, overflowing grace will meet you there. And I’m telling you now, when you get into this you will realize that you have never laughed this hard or this much. It will take humility, obedience, willingness and good humor. So say yes and have fun.

How To Respond

  • Trust the Lord and live in anticipation of new opportunities and fresh grace from the Lord.
  • Pray, Lord, I can’t fathom what opportunities You have already sent to come my way or placed on the path in front of me. I don’t want to live in fear, in self-consciousness or intimidation. Whatever You send to me to do is accompanied by Your fresh grace to receive it and to do it. Help me to say yes quickly and to enjoy the learning process of whatever it is. Thank You that You are sending something that will make me laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh.
  • Declare, This is why the Scriptures say: Things never discovered or heard of before, things beyond our ability to imagine — these are the many things God has in store for all his lovers.
    ‭‭— 1 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬ ‭TPT‬‬
  • Decree, This is the time of the Lord’s favor. It’s a time where He’s sending me new opportunities and pouring out an extraordinary measure of grace along with them. I will not back up in fear, in self-consciousness or intimidation. I will say yes to the opportunities upon which Lord’s pleasure rests, and I will get my hands dirty, make mistakes and laugh and learn along the way. He is revealing a new aspect of my identity in the opportunities He sends me. I will say yes.
