So awesome are you, O Yahweh, Lord God of Angel Armies! Where could we find anyone as glorious as you? Your faithfulness shines all around you! You rule over oceans and the swelling seas. When their stormy waves rise, you speak, and they lie still. You crushed the strongholds of Egypt, and all your enemies were scattered at the mighty display of your glory-power. All the heavens and everything on earth belong to you, for you are the Creator of all that is seen and unseen.
Psalms 89:8-11 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God from whom all blessings flow say,
Trust me with the effects. Trust Me with the impact, the reach. The priorities I Am setting in your heart, pursue them. Pursue them with the vigor and dedication of a young, well-disciplined, driven athlete. And leave the consequences, the results, the reach, the effects up to Me. You drop the stone, and I will cause the ripple. You plant the seed, and I will bring the harvest.
Your glorious throne rests on a foundation of righteousness and just verdicts. Grace and truth are the attendants who go before you. O Lord, how blessed are the people who know the triumphant shout, for they walk in the radiance of your presence. We can do nothing but leap for joy all day long, for we know who you are and what you do, and you’ve exalted us on high. The glory of your splendor is our strength, and your marvelous favor makes us even stronger, lifting us even higher! You are our King, the holiest one of all; your wraparound presence is our protection.
Psalms 89:14-18 TPT
You are worried about how to pull forward the results of your labor. That’s not your job. Your job is to obey. Your job is to drop the stone in the water, to speak the words I put in your heart and let them ring out. Your job is to plant the seed, to give the encouragement. And leave the results, the reach, the ripples and the harvest up to Me. Be busy about your Father’s business. Be busy about the work, the places and the people to which I have called you. And leave the results up to Me. Leave the impact up to Me. Leave the knock-on effects, the favor, the grace, the connections, the unmanipulated, unmanufactured results up to Me. The results I bring, the effects I bring are set in motion by obedience and faith, not by striving, not by superior intellect or outsized ideas. They are brought forth by the humble heart that says, yes Lord and does the task, and yes Lord again and moves to fulfill the task.
God said to me once and for all, “All the strength and power you need flows from me!” And again I heard it clearly said, “All the love you need is found in me!” And it’s true that you repay people for what they do.
Psalms 62:11-12 TPT
Diligent obedience, commitment to the call — these are all I require. Let them pour forth from your love for Me, and I will bring the results. I will bring the increase. Am I not faithful? I’m the Lord of every harvest. I’m the giver of every good and perfect gift. Your job is to obey. Your job is to drop the stone in the water at My word. I will cause the ripple.
How to Respond
- Repent of striving, and return your heart to the posture of love, simple obedience and faith.
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You for dwelling inside of me. Thank You for guiding me, for never leaving me to fend for myself. Help me to run with the diligence and fervor of a well-disciplined athlete. And help me to discipline my mind to live with the faith of a child, a heart overflowing with love for You and the practice of simple obedience to Your voice. Help me to trust You, and leave all of the results up to You.
- Declare, He rewarded me for doing what’s right and staying pure. I will follow his commands and I’ll not sin by ceasing to follow him, no matter what. For I’ve kept my eyes focused on his righteous words, and I’ve obeyed everything that he’s told me to do. I’ve been blameless before him and followed all his ways, keeping my heart pure. And so Yahweh has rewarded me according to my righteousness, because I kept my heart clean before his eyes. Good people will taste your goodness. And to those who are loyal to you, you love to prove that you are loyal and true.
Psalms 18:20-25 TPT - Decree, The work of diligent, committed obedience through love is my job. The results, the grace, the favor, the connections, the knock-on effects and impact belong to the Lord. At His instruction, I will drop the stone in the water, and the Lord will cause the ripples. I will plant the seed He gives me, and the Lord will bring the harvest.
