Today’s Reading:
Psalm 100
1 Thessalonians 5
Lift up a great shout of joy to Yahweh! Go ahead and do it—everyone, everywhere! Worship Yahweh with gladness. Sing your way into his presence with joy! And realize what this really means— we have the privilege of worshiping Yahweh our God. For he is our Creator and we belong to him. We are the people of his pleasure.
Psalms 100:1-3 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Keep your gratitude high in the midst of the change that I Am bringing. Keep thanks continually and ever on your lips. It will keep your heart lifted and your eyes on Me. It will keep your feet on the ground and your shoulders in the proper place. When your gratitude is high, your anxiety cannot be. Gratitude is the antidote for anxiety, and it neutralizes the power of fear.
You can pass through his open gates with the password of praise. Come right into his presence with thanksgiving. Come bring your thank offering to him and affectionately bless his beautiful name! For Yahweh is always good and ready to receive you. He’s so loving that it will amaze you— so kind that it will astound you! And he is famous for his faithfulness toward all. Everyone knows our God can be trusted, for he keeps his promises to every generation!
Psalms 100:4-5 TPT
Stay humble, and stay grateful. This is the way to advance. Celebrate your way into success, because that is where I Am leading you. But it starts and continues with gratitude. Do I need the thanks? It’s not about that. It’s about what gratitude does to your heart and your perspective. When you are continually speaking words of thanksgiving, when you are living with a heart overflowing with gratitude, I Am exalted and your problems and worries shrink. When a song of thanksgiving is playing in your heart, how can you be downcast? It’s impossible. Depression flees in the presence of gratitude. Stir it up. You are so blessed. I have blessed you beyond measure, and I’m poised to pour out more than you can imagine.
The change I’m bringing will make your head swim with wonder, delight and astonishment. So be grateful now. Push up gratitude to the King of Glory now. Stir up thanksgiving, and cause your heart to overflow with songs of praise in response to the Living God’s goodness, kindness, special attention and notice to you now.
Let joy be your continual feast. Make your life a prayer. And in the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God’s perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 TPT
This is a time to be overflowing in thanksgiving. This is a time to be awash with praise. Change is coming. It’s at your doorstep. Praise before you see it. Praise when you receive it, and praise as you march forward and onward in this time of great and unceasing change. You be one whose lips and heart and eyes never cease to be lifted to Me in unending delighted love and praise. Gratitude will be what keeps your feet on the ground and keeps your heart and eyes and lips lifted to the King of Glory. So praise.
How to Respond
- Trust the Lord with your today and your future.
- Stir up praise and thanksgiving — so much that it overtakes and releases you from all of the fear, doubt, worry, anxiety and depression that has held you captive.
- Pray, Holy Spirit You are so good. Your love is unending. Your nearness is such a gift. Your presence is my favorite place to be. Thank You for who You are. Thank You that You lead me step by step, day by day into good deeds and into destiny. Help me to see Your hands at work in my life today. Help me to be one whose lips and heart are eager and in a position of readiness to praise You as I go through my day. No problem is too big for You. You are the wonder-working God of miracles, and Your eyes are on me. Your heart is for me, and Your plans for me are good — to prosper me, to keep me and to give me a bright and sparkling future. I can get my hopes up, because You are trustworthy and absolutely good. You have always been with me and for me. And You are not leaving me now. You will never leave me, so I will always praise You.
- Declare, Now, may the God of peace and harmony set me apart, making me completely holy. And may my entire being—spirit, soul, and body—be kept completely flawless in the appearing of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. The one who calls me by name is trustworthy and will thoroughly complete his work in me.
— adapted from 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 TPT - Decree, I will lead and live with a grateful heart. Gratitude and overflowing thanksgiving are how I will proceed. Even in the midst of great change, I will worship and praise the Lord for His goodness and mercy, for His kindness, provision and protection. Jesus is the personification of God’s love for me, and He is more than enough reason for me to praise for all eternity.
