Isaiah 61
The mighty Spirit of Lord Yahweh is wrapped around me because Yahweh has anointed me, as a messenger to preach good news to the poor. He sent me to heal the wounds of the brokenhearted, to tell captives, “You are free,” and to tell prisoners, “Be free from your darkness.” I am sent to announce a new season of Yahweh’s grace and a time of God’s recompense on his enemies, to comfort all who are in sorrow, to strengthen those crushed by despair who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful bouquet in the place of ashes, the oil of bliss instead of tears, and the mantle of joyous praise instead of the spirit of heaviness. Because of this, they will be known as Mighty Oaks of Righteousness, planted by Yahweh as a living display of his glory.
Isaiah 61:1-3 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
I Am resurrecting dreams, visions, callings and hopes. They look like dead grass in a dry and abandoned field, but I say no. I Am breathing My life, My animating wind of life over this place where dreams, desires, hopes, callings and opportunities seem to have been scattered and discarded as dead grass. I Am playing a resurrection tune in the depths of your heart, and it will awaken your heart to life. Even now, it is encouraging fresh blood flow, fresh energy, new vitality to come to the surface and flood your face with light.
They will restore ruins from long ago and rebuild what was long devastated. They will renew ruined cities and desolations of past generations. Foreigners will be appointed to shepherd your many flocks; strangers will cultivate your fields and tend your vines. But you will be known as Priests of Yahweh, and called Servants of our God. You will feast on the wealth of nations and revel in their riches!
Isaiah 61:4-6 TPT
This field that you look upon and say, “this is where my dreams, hopes and desires came to die” will be the field in which they will all be resurrected. The place you marked out as the one for discarding, abandoning and declaring dead certain hopes, certain dreams, ideas and callings will be the place I call you to once more and say, look again. Look again. These dreams, these hopes, these callings and ideas have not been scattered to the wind, they are all gathered here in this one place, and it is here in this unlikely place, in this overly familiar place, in this “its as good as dead” place that you will see a miraculous resurrection.
Because you received a double dose of shame and dishonor, you will inherit a double portion of endless joy and everlasting bliss! “For I, Yahweh, love fairness and justice, and I hate stealing and sin. I will rightly repay them because of my faithfulness and enter into an everlasting covenant with them. Their seed will be famous among the nations, and their descendants the center of attention of the people. All who see them will recognize that they are the seed that Yahweh has blessed with favor!”
Isaiah 61:7-9 TPT
You will see the dead dry bones of your dreams, hopes, aspirations and callings rise up at once together. These will not be separate events. They will be simultaneous. They will rise up suddenly together. Then you will look out at that field and realize that it was not dead. It was not a place of death. It was simply dormant. It was playing dead to draw the enemy off-track. It was playing dead to bring a great alignment that could have in no other way been gotten. But this dead field, this unlikely field that appeared to be the one where dreams, hopes, gifts and callings went to die will be the place of the ultra-miraculous, and it will be the field of your inheritance. Watch as I do it in quick succession. Watch as things are resurrected simultaneously. This is a now word. This is a yes word. This is a true word. Rest in it.
How to Respond
- Allow the Lord’s resurrection song in your heart to bring new life, new energy, new hope to you and restore your countenance.
- Pray, Holy Spirit help me to get my hopes up. Help me to look out at the landscape of my life to see the places of barrenness, of dead dreams, desires, hopes and vision. And help me to see it with Your eyes, with Your perspective. Help me to recognize slight movements as signs of resurrection. Thank You that this field is not one that will forever be marked with death. But it will be a great field of resurrection, of miracles, of power, of restored hope and celebration. It will be the field of my great and wondrous inheritance.
- Declare, I will sing and greatly rejoice in Yahweh! My whole being vibrates with shouts of joy in my God! For he has dressed me with salvation and wrapped me in the robe of his righteousness! I appear like a bridegroom on his wedding day, decked out with a beautiful sash, or like a radiant bride adorned with sparkling jewels. In the same way the earth produces its crops and seeds spring up in a garden, so will the Lord Yahweh cause righteousness and praise to blossom before all the nations!
Isaiah 61:10-11 TPT - Decree, Great is Your faithfulness Lord. You have not forgotten me. You have not allowed any of Your promises to me to fall to the ground and die. You are stirring them to life even now. You are breathing resurrection life where it seems hopeless and long gone. You are bringing a synergistic resurrection and alignment of not just one but all of the dreams, hopes, desires and callings of my life that seem to have died. They will all emerge at the same time, and it will be cause for great worship and celebration.
